Dallas- The Texas House of Representatives’ Committee on Licensing and Administrative Procedures will conduct a public hearing about sexually oriented business regulations and alcohol licenses at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Dallas City Hall’s council chambers.
The hearing, which was planned at the behest of Democratic state Rep. Rafael Anchía of Dallas, will come less than a week after the Dallas City Council approved stricter regulations of sexually oriented businesses, including banning minors from working at or being entertained by the businesses. The council also prohibited closed-door “VIP rooms.”
“We’d like to do the same thing at the state level,” said Liz Zornes, Mr. Anchía’s chief of staff.
