The APAC Zombie Monsters Invade Porn Valley Once Again; Meeting Scheduled For Sunday

APAC is back.

Yes, The Adult Performer Advocacy Committee has reared its goofy head once again. Like a bad zombie movie, it refuses to die. If you remember, APAC was a group that was formed a few months ago that was supposed to be for talent in the adult business. An independent body that was not controlled or influenced by any outside forces. A coalition for the performers, by the performers. Which was complete bullshit, considering that all of the figureheads associated with it are intricately involved with the agents, from the soccer mom lawyer Karen Tynan, who represents Derek Hay and LATATA to Kimberly Kane, a Spiegler disciple who until about a month ago had her mailing address listed on the APAC website www.apac-usa.com as the place to send donations.

Speaking of the APAC website, they’ve apparently been having their fair share of problems with it. As early as last week, the buttons to go to various sections of the site were not operating. When they were operating, the blog section was not finished and was filled with Latin gobbledygook indicating that no posts had yet been made. It also had dates listed in the future, December 2014 to be exact. The donation address changed from Kimberly Kane to another address. Again, this was all when the buttons worked. If you go to their website now, it has a bit of a different look. They got some of the buttons working again, but the blog has still not been updated.

APAC just put out a press release on AVN and XBIZ announcing an upcoming meeting on June 1st, which is Sunday. Now, you would think that when they announce that they’re back and they have meetings planned that you would go a website that is fully functional. If you go to the blog entries, you will see that they are dated May 29, which is an improvement over December of 2014, which hasn’t happened yet. But again, no blog post. APAC moved some stuff around on the website, but basically did nothing to update it since it was launched about three months ago.

We talked about APAC back in April when they had a meeting scheduled. www.adultfyi.com/read.php?ID=60349 We went on Chanel Preston’s Twitter and Jessica Drake’s Twitter to see if were talking about APAC, considering they had a big meeting coming up. APAC had put out a press release at the launch of APAC with Chanel and Jessica as the faces of this group, with Jessica Drake being quoted as saying how APAC was an independent organization that was not affiliated with any outside groups. From the quotes from Chanel and Jessica and their pictures on the logo, you looked at them as the defacto leaders of APAC. We went to the Twitters of APAC, Jessica and Chanel to find some information about their upcoming meeting. We found out that on the day of the big April meeting, Chanel was in Catalina and Jessica was at a feminist conference in Toronto. Nowhere before or after this April meeting did Chanel or Jessica talk about this meeting. I thought that was extremely telling.

This story made the rounds and a lot of people thought is was funny and some commented to me that I was right and that APAC was a joke. So when we saw the latest press release on AVN, we had to laugh. It seems like APAC got together with Chanel and said that they need her to be a part of the organization instead of going on trips to Catalina. I guess Jessica told them to go pound sand, so they needed a little star power besides Charity Bangs and 60 year old Nina Hartley.

It seems APAC needed some PR as well, so now Adella from Fine Ass Marketing is involved with APAC. She will be appearing at the APAC meeting Sunday with her partner Chris and they will be talking about how to handle publicity and market yourself. It’s a way for Adella to pitch her business and charge all of these newbie performers 12-1500 dollars a month for her talents as a publicist. So APAC got Chanel back in the mix by throwing her publicist a bone and letting her recruit clients for her business and charge 1500 a month to send press releases out to Huffington Post and Cosmopolitan. If you look at the clients from Chanel to Tasha Reign, they all get the same publicity, whether it’s Cosmo or Huff Post. Whoever’s with Fine Ass Marketing gets the same shit. Adella will be there June 1st at the APAC meeting drumming up some work.

With the frequently broken website, sporadic news, lack of updates and performers coming and going, it seems like APAC is like a new toy that a kid gets and plays with for a while, gets bored with it and forgets about it, then after a while picks it up again and plays with it. It’s like they sit around smoking a joint and drinking wine and they go, “Oh, my Gahd. You know what? We totally haven’t had a performer meeting in a while.” Then they have one and only 7 or 8 low end talent show up. Then you don’t hear about it again until I do a show and write a story about it. They go, “Oh my Gahd. Rob’s Black’s such an asshole. We’ll show him. We’ll get Adella to help us!” Then they’ll do this and give this a shot. When only 7 or 8 people show up again and Adella and Chanel look around at all the skanks who do tricks at Motel 6 for 75 bucks and a coupla bukkake mopes, you won’t hear about it again for a another month or so.

You would think that when they get the bug up their ass to do another press release that they would get a web person and put up some updates and information on their site. It’s funny when you look at their Twitter and see the gaps in activity. It’s like they do something, it doesn’t work and then they don’t do anything until they have another wine and weed party and decide to give it another go. If it’s supposed to be a proactive support group for the performers, by the performers, why all the time between posts? It’s like Jessica and Chanel start the group, then they’re not part of the group. Rob Black talks about it and then they’re half back together. Everything’s put together haphazardly with no coordination. It’s indicative of a bunch of scatterbrained porn performers with unorganized lives.

It’s sad, because it shows exactly where this business is. Another do nothing organization that solicits donations. Where do the donations go? They certainly don’t go to a competent webmaster. Do they go to Kimberly Kane? To the APAC medical board that Lorelei Lee spoke about at the AB 1576 Assembly hearing? Where does that money go and what is it used for? How does it make a difference for performers?

They made a video called Porn 101 that prominently featured James Deen and others. Where is James Deen in the APAC picture? Has he been going to meetings? Couldn’t APAC use a little of his and Stoya’s celebrity status? Shouldn’t they be out on the circuit promoting APAC? Why isn’t James Deen using some of the millions he’s making at Evil Angel to help them out with a web guy?

Can somebody answer some of these questions? Or is Rob Black just being an asshole again? I guess I am.

I’m sure we’ll get some of these answers, because when we post stories and talk about these things, it shakes up the cockroaches and they come out of hiding.

That, ladies and gentlemen, is the story of the APAC zombie monsters.

***UPDATE***

As we go to post, it seems that APAC has indeed just updated their blog section. I guess somebody over there listened to the show today, once again proving that when EF Hutton aka Rob Black speaks, people listen.

You’re welcome.
