CLEARWATER, Fla. –Former wrestler Hulk Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, has avoided jail time on a contempt charge over the purchase of a 4.2 million dollar condominium in Las Vegas.
Linda Bollea wanted Hulk held in contempt of court for refusing to close on the condo after he had agreed to it in earlier court documents submitted by attorneys. But Judge George Greer wrote in his decision that the former wrestler couldn’t be held in contempt, because the closing date on the condo was tentative.
The judge did agree with the other side about the purchase of the condo. He says the Hulk needs to go ahead and buy the place, since he had agreed to it previously.
Hogan wanted to back out because his appraisals showed the value of the condo went down by one million dollars since he and Linda put 840 thousand dollars down on the property.
Meanwhile, a motion filed by Linda for injunctive relief against Hulk is pending. She contends Hogan is stalking her.
