Porn Valley- Gay porn industry insiders say that Titan Media made a number of offers to purchase Falcon Studios from the studio’s former owner, the Charles M. Holmes Foundation. What may have prompted the sale of Falcon Studio’s was the persistance of Titan Media as a suitor with Titan Media in the last decade becoming the biggest challenger to Falcon.
Holmes Foundation honchos, it’s alleged, felt they could not legally refuse Titan Media’s increasingly lucrative offers for much longer. Rather than let the studio fall into the hands of its greatest rival, the Foundation sold the studio to management.
Titan Media, however, has made it known that one of its final offers may not have been presented to the Holmes Foundation board for consideration. Titan Media allegedly made the offer to one of the three managers who eventually purchased Falcon Studios. But said manager never presented the offer to the board. When it became known that said manager was now an owner of Falcon Studios, Titan Media smelled “conflict of interest” in the air. Rumors that the Titan Media offer may have been illegally suppressed by this individual have infuriated Titan Media’s owners.
Lawsuit filings and Titan Media are going hand in glove these days. The studio recently sued hundreds of consumers for illegally downloading clips of Titan Media films. In the cease-and-desist letter, Titan Media allegedly offered downloaders a deal: Purchase a membership in TitanMedia.com, and the studio would not seek copyright infringement charges. When three downloaders threatened to counter-sue the studio for bribery, Titan Media honchos went ballistic.
Titan Media has also sued or threatened to sue a number of Web sites which allegedly sold and distributed illegally obtained still photographs and movie clips owned by Titan Media.
One studio head says he was shocked by a recent phone call to Titan Media to discuss a legal matter. A Titan Media manager taunted him on the phone, and made a number of derisive comments in a nyah-nyah-nyah tone of voice. “You should be worshipping the ground we walk on!” another Titan Media management official repeatedly told an industry insider. “You don’t know how to market, you don’t know how to sell stuff, you don’t know anything. We do! We’re out there saving your asses!”
The outcome of any theoretical lawsuit against Falcon Studios is not clear. Conceivably, a judge could overturn the sale of Falcon Studios and put the organization back up for bid. Or a judge may decide to award damages. This all assumes that a lawsuit will be filed..
