Texas – from www.msnbc.com – A North Texas teacher and coach was accused of having sex with five students at her home and filming the encounters on their cell phones, Arlington, Texas, police say.

Brittni Nicole Colleps www.adultcybermart.com/HTBrittniColleps.html, 27, surrendered to authorities on Monday following allegations of improper relationships with five of her students during April and May 2011.

All of the students involved are 18 or older, but it is a second-degree felony offense for teachers to have a sexual relationship with a student regardless of age.

Detectives also learned that Colleps, a mother of three, and students had exchanged text messages that included sexually explicit pictures. Police have since recovered those texts and photographs.

Police said the encounters took place in her brick home while her husband was away on active duty with the military. It was not certain if her children were home at the time of the alleged liaisons.

The Kennedale school system’s attorney, Mike Leasor, said Colleps is an English teacher who’s now on administrative leave.

School officials learned of the alleged trysts through conversations among students.

‘Word spread … and students were talking about it,” said Tiara Ellis Richard, spokeswoman with the Arlington Police Department.

Colleps’ teacher’s page on the Kennedale ISD website has been disabled, but a cached version of the site revealed that she had also coached girls freshman basketball.

She had been jailed on $125,000 bail after surrendering to authorities.

She posted bail later that afternoon and was confronted by reporters.

“I am not going to comment at this time,” she said as she walked from jail to a nearby restaurant.
