SHEFFEILD LAKE, Ohio - from www,onntv.com - Police arrested a porn star in northeast Ohio on Monday after she allegedly posted an ad on-line soliciting sex from her home.
Police said that a tip first led them to a website called backpage.com. That's what then led them to Olivia Moore's home in Sheffield Lake.
"She was advertising to come play with a playboy bunny," said Sheffield Lake Detective Shawn Coor.
"She gave her physical description as 5 foot 4, 100 pounds, blonde hair, blue eyes and tan skin."
A quick internet search by ONN showed that Moore is an adult film star known as Nichole Heiress.
Police said that in the on-line ad, Moore, 24, said that her name was Paige.
"Through several emails with an undercover officer she did solicit sexual favors for the amount of $300," Coor said.
Coor said that an officer went to her home and gave her the money that was agreed upon and she was arrested.
Renee Jones, CEO of the Renee Jones empowerment center, told ONN that groups like Moore's is why law enforcement has their eyes on backpage.com for awhile.
Like Craigslist, you can buy and sell almost anything on the site but there's also an "adult" section.
"You can take one look and tell what that's all about," Jones said.
Jones, who helps rescue human trafficking victims, told ONN that not all posters advertising sex are willing adults, Severance reported.
"Unfortunately, a lot of traffic victims, that we've had the occasion to work with have been advertised on such sites as backpage.com," Jones said.
Sheffield Lake police said that they'll be paying attention to all of it.
"This is a small community, and people value the small community that we do have and we just don't want the type of activity here," Coor said.
