Las vegas- A recent issue of Time Magazine put the notion out there that Las Vegas was going to see strip clubs in the casinos. https://www.adultfyi.com/read.aspx?ID=4809
The article focuses on Vegas’ booming tourism [just the opposite was being written after 9/11 you’ll recall], with Vegas mayor Oscar Goodman predicting it was only a matter of time until that happened. “Right now I don’t think there’s much of a difference between some of these nightclubs, some of the things that happen there, and some of the gentlemen’s clubs,” Goodman is quoted as saying.
We spoke to Talk of the Town owner Ray Pistol who’s also head man of Arrow Productions, www.xxxdeepthroat.com. Pistol doesn’t see it happening because politicians and the FBI hold to the common belief that adult clubs equate to the mob. “They don’t want any influence of the mob in the casinos at all.”
Just as AEE security shits itself even if boob becomes a possibility, Pistol also cites a recent situation where the Hard Rock was fined $100,000 because some women showed their tits in the club. “Then they fined them again for the racy billboards they were putting out there. I’ve seen them take a real hard line of sex,” Pistol says. “And you’ve got the MGM The Mirage and The Mandalay all coming together. They’re all concerned with the huge mergers. So I think they’re talking speculatively that it might happen in the future but I don’t see it happening right now.”
According to Pistol, the casinos have put out some “feelers” if you will as far as having clubs. “But I don’t see it happening right now in the present gaming administration,” he says. Nor is Pistol shaking in his boots at the prospects of the casinos wresting any of the strip clubs’ cash or clientele. “I haven’t shook in my boots in a long time- I got to admit.”
