Vivid Entertainment, the “leader in Adult Entertainment” (apparently it’s not Google after all) and director Axel Braun (This Ain’t Beverly Hills 90210 XXX, This Ain’t Saved by the Bell XXX) have teamed up to penetrate the comics world with Batman XXX: A Porn Parody.
It’s hard to believe that something as pure and as innocent as the 1960’s Batman series, starring world-class actor Adam West, could ever be turned into a porn. Just consider any given episode.
Catwoman’s caught in the act and Commissioner Gordon erects the Bat signal. Batman straps on his utility belt and soon arrives on the scene. When he’s tired of saving the day alone, Robin is right behind him. The two quickly double team Catwoman, but even with her whips at the ready, it doesn’t take long for her to go down. Batman always ends up on top — and Catwoman gets pounded right back into the slammer.
On second thought, I can’t believe it took until 2010.
The film stars Dale DaBone (Cream Pie Beauties) as Batman, who “literally became Adam West, turning in one of the most electrifying comeback performances I’ve ever seen in my 20 years in the industry,” said the Batman XXX director when discussing the film with Vivid’s website. Beside him is James Deen (Buttman’s Bend Over Beauties 7) as Robin and Tori Black (Evil Anal 11) as Catwoman, “[who shows] exactly why she’s the reigning Performer of the Year,” the director continued in his interview. “This girl is so gorgeous and talented, and her sexual energy is just unbelievable.” (Special thanks to IMDB for the film credits. Who knew they were so comprehensive.)
But the film wouldn’t be complete without the rest of the Bat-family and rogue’s gallery, including Batman’s gal-pal Batgirl (Lexi Belle, Paste my Face 9) and arch-enemy the Joker. Randy Spears (Foot Fantasy Freaks) plays Gotham’s white-skinned, green-haired Clown Prince of Crime who answers a question even The Riddler (Evan Stone, Wild Cherries 4) wouldn’t ask: does the carpet match the drapes? And, though I’m not proud of it, I can’t help but wonder what color his, uh… neck is. (He wears a very high collar.)
With batmobiles, batarangs and even Ron Jeremy (maybe The Penguin has a cameo?), the film’s budget clearly packed a POW! of its own, possibly exceeding that of 1997’s Batman & Robin. The costumes alone, with very few parody law-related tweaks, reportedly cost part of the Wayne fortune: Braun hired some of the show’s original costumers.
“It was so important that the costumes were right and that the casting was right. I could not just replace people,” he told Comic Book Resources. “I found the original fabrics used, I found the original patterns used, I found the people who made the costumes and the cowl… it’s like, there’s a lot of effort that went into this.” (Profound.)
From the look of it, Braun’s relationship with Vivid Entertainment hasn’t climaxed. The studio announced Vivid-Superhero, a new imprint of adult films with Braun serving as lead director.
“The parodies under this new imprint will pay tribute to the world’s most popular comic heroes,” Vivid’s founder Steven Hirsch relayed in a press release. ”Axel [has] already started pre-production on a parody of Superman, which will be followed by those of The Green Hornet, Spider-Man, Wonder Woman, Captain America, Thor, and The Incredible Hulk.”
