Porn valley- Posted at etonveterans.com: If you want to know what’s really going on in the adult industry, don’t go to you-know-where.
Go away from them.
As the competent writers and knowledgeable people are flensed away from The Bible Of The Adult Industry like so many breadcrumbs off a tablecloth, the Eton Veterans continue in the adult industry.
This is a list of their websites. Unfortunately they aren’t links — cheapo technology will only get you so far — but judicious use of cut-and-paste will connect you to the independent voices in adult reportage and commentary.
Crickett the Porn Store Princess. Crickett was dismissed from freelance reviewing after blowing the whistle on the “pre-nom” charade on Jimmy D’s site. http://www.crickett.net/
Wayne Hentai. Wayne was the DVD Editor of the rag. Now he does freelance publicity. http://hentaipr.com/
Tod Hunter. Tod spent six years there and used to write for game shows, so he can cram a lot of obscure stuff into his copy. He thinks it’s funny. Humor him. He also “coined the term porno-American community,” he says in an email.http://www.tod-hunter.net
Susie Mid-America. One-time performer, excellent writer, full-time angry woman. http://www.sexwrecks.com/columns/susie_midamerica/index.html
Carly Milne: Ever the over-achiever, Carly has two sites. Pornblography for commentary: http://www.pornblography.com/ Sin Spin for her PR operation(s): http://www.sinspin.com/
She, not Steve Ochs (below) was the actual date of the Tera Patrick doll at the adult awards show, and she dropped us a line to make sure we knew the actual facts of the matter. “Splitting hairs, I know, but if I’m going to publicly make a fool of myself I like to suffer the consequences.”
Steve Ochs. Steve is notorious for NOT bringing a Tera Patrick blow-up doll as a date to the adult industry awards, and a resemblance to the guy who wrote the movie Sideways. Ochs says in an email: “I’m still doing some freelance for some people. I’m just mostly out of adult.”
Gram Ponante. Fired from the Website for not being “a team player,” or so we hear. One look at how well he writes and you’ll know the REAL reason. http://gramponante.com/
Gene Ross. Left voluntarily. His bare-knuckle prose set the standard for tough-guy reporting of adult. Ask him about film noir sometime, if you want to learn something. https://www.adultfyi.com/
Jeremy Spencer was the gay/bi managing editor and ran the GayVN Awards show. He got the heave-ho the day before The Current Publisher came in so The Current Publisher could bring in his OWN gay editor. Jeremy says: “Now, a partner and I have formed a new gay company called Adonis Pictures and we have already shot two features with a release due in late May. “www.adonispictures.com is the site but it’s still under construction.”
Dianne Tuazon was copy editor for The Main Magazine, trying desperately to torture copy into readability. She is now Project Coordinator here: http:/www.straightcollegemen.com
And she says she loves what she’s doing. She was trying to wrangle her talent OUT of the straight section at Adult Expo in January with a smile on her face.
