from www.nydailynews.com – The famed Catacombs of Paris are fast becoming a hot-spot for porn shoots, it’s been claimed.

Photographers, film-makers, models and actors are being busted on a daily basis sneaking into its vaults for sleazy “art” sessions among its six million human skeletons.

Bosses at Musée Carnavalet, which manages the historic underground caves, say they are fighting a losing battle against the amorous invaders.

Every day, they say, they reject requests to film saucy clips on the premises — leading many of the budding stars to disguise themselves as tourists to get past the guards.

It’s led to the creation of a crack “catacombs police team” that will try to ward off the unwelcome visitors.

A regular tourist to the caves told Le Parisien: “As soon as the coast is clear the girls strip off, the crew films without any fuss, and they leave, unseen and unnoticed.”

The Local reports one artist to use the skeletons as a backdrop was U.S. snapper Miru Kim – whose 2008 “Naked City Spleen” project featured an image of her naked on a pile of bones.

A spokesman for the museum tried to play down the claims, however, and said the kinky visitors managed to slip into the caves “from time to time”.

The Catacombs, to the south of the former city gate, were once a stone mine.

Housing the remains of locals, it became a tourist attraction after being opened to the public in the late 1700s.
