LOS ANGELES from www.courthousenews.com – – Max Factor cosmetics heir Andrew Luster hid his assets and filed for bankruptcy to avoid paying a $19 million judgment to a woman he was convicted of drugging and raping, the victim claims in Los Angeles Superior Court.

The victim, referred to as Shawna Doe in her lawsuit, says Luster gave her GHB, or gamma hydroxyl butyrate, then raped her while she was unconscious in 1998.

Luster is serving 124 years in prison after being convicted of over 80 counts of rape between 1996 to 2000.

Luster fled to Mexico during his rape trial, but was convicted in his absence. He was later caught by reality television bounty hunter Duane “Dog” Chapman and returned to the United States.

Luster’s victim says he filed for bankruptcy in 2003 to avoid paying her the $19 million judgment. Luster also transferred his real property assets, which included a Beverly Hills home, to his mother, Elizabeth Luster, the lawsuit states.

Plaintiff says Elizabeth Luster has claimed she bought Andrew Luster’s 15 percent interest in the family’s investment company, Luster Investments, but failed to produce any evidence of payment.
