Chicago- A woman who formerly worked as a waitress for a Hooters restaurant in Chicago has sued the chain, alleging male co-workers watched her change clothes through a peephole in a dressing room, WGN-Ch. 9 reported.
Joanna Ciesielski filed the sexual harassment suit in U.S. District Court in Chicago, alleging the spying occurred while she was working in April 2001 at the Hooters at 8225 W. Higgins Rd., on the city’s Far Northwest Side.
In the suit, Ciesielski said she realized something was amiss when she heard men laughing while she changed in the restaurant’s dressing room. Other Hooters waitresses had the same problem, the suit alleges.
Ciesielski’s suit also accused at least four managers of the restaurant of making harassing statements to the woman.
A lawyer for Hooters said the suit had no merit, WGN reported.
