XXX Wasteland Interviews Jenna Presley

Adam Wilcox posts on www.xxxwasteland.wordpress.com – Following a 2006 appearance on adult industry legend Jenna Jameson’s reality series Jenna’s American Sex Star, XXX performer Jenna Presley parlayed her first runner-up status into a Playboy TV program of her own and has since established herself as a strong name in adult entertainment.

Jenna has become a superhero parody mainstay with roles as Lois Lane in several Superman porn takeoffs, as well as portraying Spiderwoman for Vivid Entertainment’s Spiderman series. She most recently played Sura, the wife of Spartacus, in the upcoming Spartacus XXX movie, which is slated for a September 15 release.

Jenna kindly spoke with XXX Wasteland to discuss her various parody appearances, participating in Jenna’s American Sex Star, her past battle with an eating disorder and more.

You can follow Jenna on Twitter @Jenna_Presley and be on the lookout for her official website, JennaPresley.com, which she hopes to launch in the near future. For interview requests, contact [email protected].

Q: Let’s start at the beginning: Can you give us some background on yourself and how you entered the adult industry?

Absolutely. I was in college and I liked money, so I began dancing at the Spearmint Rhino in Santa Barbara. A couple of producers who used to direct for Metro came in and they asked me if I’d like to make romance movies. I knew that they were talking about porn and that excited me very much – it got me moist in my panties – and I said, “Yes, I’d love to do porn.” And six years later, here I am.

Q: In 2006, you appeared on Jenna Jameson’s reality series, Jenna’s American Sex Star. Can you tell us about that experience?

Absolutely. It was a great experience, it opened up a lot of doors for me. Jenna Jameson is an absolutely amazing woman. She’s such a sweetheart and she made porn what it is today. I really look up to her and I respect her. I respected her when she was a female performer and I respect her as the beautiful person that she is today. Being on the show was a ton of fun and even though I placed first runner-up, I ended up getting my own show out of it – it was called Spice It Up – and it just turned out to be an all-round amazing experience.

Q: You just finished shooting a Spartacus parody (Spartacus XXX from Miko Lee Productions, London Gunn Productions and Wicked Pictures), is that right?

Yes, I did.

Q: Can you tell us a little bit about that film?

Sure. Spartacus was directed by Marcus London and Tommy Gunn and it’s their directorial debut. They did an amazing job – they put a lot of time and effort into the production. They were working on green screen, they made all their own props by hand and they did an absolutely amazing job. They made the porn parody look exactly like the movie, the T.V. show.

I played Sura, Spartacus’s wife, and it was a lot of fun. I spent three hours in tattoo cover-up and another two hours in hair and makeup, so it really felt like I was on a mainstream production.

Q: You were featured in a Supergirl parody earlier this year (Supergirl XXX: An Extreme Comixxx Parody) as well, is that right?

Yes – you’ve done your research! I played Lois Lane. I love working for Extreme Comixxx, I’ve worked for them once before – I believe it was one of their Superman parodies – and I also played Lois Lane. It was a great experience and I was very thankful for them to have me back, as well as playing once again for their Supergirl parody. Alanah Rae played Supergirl and she did an amazing job. It was a very fun production to be a part of.

Q: There were a couple of Charlie Sheen-themed movies released earlier this year that you were featured in (Not Charlie Sheem’s House of Whores XXX from X-Play and Northpole’s Charlie’s Girls). Were you one of the adult performers who hung out and partied with Charlie Sheen?

I actually was not. I was on Howard Stern and he and I were discussing Charlie Sheen and his “Goddesses.” I guess the porn industry only heard part of the interview and took it as I was one of the girls. So, they threw me in a bunch of parodies, which ended up working out because I got a lot of work out of it.

Maybe one day I’ll get to be one of Charlie Sheen’s Goddesses. He’s a handsome, sexy man and I would love to be a part of Charlie Sheen’s life.

Q: How did it feel to be named one of the 12 top porn stars in the adult industry by Maxim’s U.K. magazine last Summer?

To be recognized by Maxim magazine is a huge honor and I felt very blessed because it’s not too often that they recognize porn stars as beautiful, quality models. So, for them to recognize me as one, like I said, was an absolute honor.

Q: Do you have any specific aspirations for your career or a visual of where you see yourself in ten years?

I’ve been in this industry for six years and I made a couple mistakes, and now I’m back to just take over. I love what I do, I love my job and I feel that the world will be hearing a lot more of Jenna Presley than they did before.

Q: What are some of your interest and hobbies away from work?

I love to go to the beach, I love to ride on Harleys. I love to read books – I’m currently reading A Walk in the Kingdom and I just bought Chelsea Handler’s new book, Lies That Chelsea Handler Told Me. I love to work out, I go to the gym all the time. I go fishing, I go hiking – I’m very much an outdoorsy-type girl.

Q: I read that you have struggled with Anorexia in the past. If you don’t mind my asking – because I realize it is a personal matter – would you be able to discuss that a little bit?

Yes, I can discuss that to a certain extent.

Q: Thank you. I was wondering what advice you would give to somebody who may be dealing with an eating disorder themselves.

It’s one of the toughest disorders on the planet. It goes beyond drug addiction. It’s something that is hard to recognize with some people and something that is extremely terrible because once a person is eighteen you can’t force them into a treatment center. People die from this disorder every day and if I can help just one person, I think that would be amazing.

There are currently girls in this industry that are struggling with eating disorders and I read them like a book. It’s something that is so easy for the girls – or males, they struggle with this disorder, too – to deny, unlike with drugs, where maybe there is some sort of sickness if you don’t have your drug or alcohol. You can always tell that the person is drunk or high. You can’t always tell when a person is starving themselves or throwing up after their meals. It’s an extremely tough disorder and I just wish that it could be recognized more and spoken about more.

Q: Yes, absolutely. Thank you – I asked about this because it is something that people of all ages deal with and I believe to have somebody like yourself who has achieved success speak about it is a great help. So, I appreciate you touching on that.

No problem.

Q: What is one thing about yourself that you feel would surprise most people?

I’m pretty much an open book, I tell people everything about me. But maybe a fun fact that people don’t know about me is that I do squats in the shower. (Laughs)

Q: Are there any current or upcoming projects in the works that you would like to mention?

Other than Spartacus, I’ve been doing a lot with Vivid Entertainment. I’ve been playing Spiderwoman in all of their parodies such as Superman vs. Spiderman XXX, as well as The Avengers XXX. And there is one other movie in the works that is a total surprise, but I can tell you that you will be seeing a lot more of Spiderwoman.

Q: Very nice. Vivid has a big franchise going with Spiderman, so that is excellent.

Absolutely. Axel Braun is the director and he is such a character. He is so fun to work for. He’s my favorite, I love being on his sets. He’s an amazing director. He has an eye for things – he’s very picky, which is a good thing, because it makes a production appear to be so much better.

Q: Yes, he really is a terrific director.

He is. He’s amazing.

Q: To finish up, is there anything you wish to say to readers?

I’d just like to say thank you to all my lovers for your support and sticking with me in my six years in the industry, and I plan to be around a lot longer. So, I hope you guys continue to follow my career. And if you are not already following me on Twitter, it is @Jenna_Presley. My website should be up and running probably soon, JennaPresley.com.
