Porn Valley- Adam Wilcox from www.xxxwasteland.wordpress.com writes – British adult film performer Katie K kindly granted XXX Wasteland an interview to discuss her new program on RedTubeRadio.com, comparing the U.S. porn industry to working in the United Kingdom and more.

Q: Let’s start at the beginning. How did you initially become interested – and later involved – in the adult industry?

A: It happened really quickly! I was already doing a little modeling, and at the same time I was wanting to explore my bi-curiosities in my personal life. When I saw an advert for girls for girl-on-girl work, I applied and got a reply back straight away saying I was perfect for the work. From there, everyone saw the images and wanted to work with me and I never looked back!

Q: How long have you been in the business?

A: Four years now, and it has gone by so fast. I’m hoping there are many more years to come.

Q: Seeing as you reside in England, do you notice any major differences between the adult entertainment industry in your country as opposed to the United States?

A: Yes, I do. The U.K. industry is very small, so there aren’t really any good agencies as girls get booked direct, whereas the U.S. industry is very big and has lots of career managing agencies.

Q: Are there any U.S.-based studios you wish to shoot for in the future?

A: So many! Vivid, Digital Playground, Adam & Eve, Girlfriends Films and Wicked Pictures are some definite companies I would really LOVE to work for! Who knows? Hopefully when I come over in the summer!

Q: What are your overall aspirations in the industry?

A: To work with all of the international companies I’ve always wanted to, to work with some top U.S. starlets and produce some very sexy and naughty work that I will always be proud of at the same time as enjoying myself and having fun! I’ve achieved some great things already and it just keeps getting better and better for me. It’s more than I ever hoped I would achieve from the adult industry.

Q: You recently launched a program on RedTubeRadio.com titled the Katie K Show. Can you tell us about the new project?

A: The Katie K Show is where anyone around the world can call in and talk filth to me, basically! It’s naughty sex chat between me and the callers, at the same time as getting to know me a little better and playing some sexy music. A lot of my fans love my voice, so it’s a great way of getting your Katie K fix for 2 hours on a Sunday. It’s so much fun. I love it and the response from the fans has been fantastic!

Q: Let’s learn a little bit about Katie K, the person. Where were you raised and how would you describe yourself growing up?

A: I was born and raised in Blackpool, which is a seaside resort in the North West of England. Living by the beach is amazing – I love it! I was brought up as a Catholic and I was the “good girl” hanging out with a group of “bad boys and girls” – ha, ha. We were rebels, but I was always the good girl out of the group. I was quite shy until you got to know me better and I was tomboy. I always wore baggy jumpers and combats. I had my first boyfriend when I was 17, so quite a late starter. I never felt sexy, confident or comfortable with my sexuality until I joined the adult industry. I was just the typical shy little catholic girl.

Q: What are some of your interests and hobbies outside of work?

A: I don’t have a lot of time outside of work, as I love to constantly interact with my fans on Twitter or Facebook, but when I do get free time, I like to spend it watching movies, keeping fit, going out with my girlfriends and dancing in clubs. I love to eat out at restaurants and I love walking my two dogs on the beach. I also have four lizards, so you can see why I wouldn’t get any “Me“ time. When it’s just me on my own, I just relax into a nice hot bubble bath.

Q: Are there any upcoming Katie K-related projects you would like to make known?

A: I’m currently working on the affiliate program for www.katiekofficial.com and my own online boutique that might not be ready for about 6-8 weeks yet. As soon as it launches I will let you know!

Q: In closing, is there anything you wish to say to readers?

A: Just “Thank you” to everyone who has joined my site since it launched four weeks ago. It’s doing great and I’m very happy.
