Freudenstadt [www.dailymail.co.uk] – Conjuring up eye-watering scenarios involving hot coffee and strategically-placed pieces of fruit, it was revealed today that Germany is set to get its first clothing-free hotel.
In the kind of twist usually confined to popular satire, plans are afoot for a hotel catering to nudists in the Black Forest town of Freudenstadt – which means ‘Town of Joys’.
But while the name of the town may imply frivolity, at Hotel Rosengarten the rules will be stringent.
Guests are to be naked at all times and must drape towels on chairs before sitting down – and inappropriate behaviour will definitely not be tolerated.
Naturist Frieder Haferkorn, who hopes to make his dream become reality, said: ‘We hope that all kinds of people will come to the hotel, including families, and we are building a playground in the hotel grounds.’
The town is fringed by a national park and guests can go skiing or hiking – while wearing clothes.
The exact opening date of the 31-room hotel has not yet been fixed.
It was last year revealed that a German travel agency was launching the world’s first airline from the German city of Erfurt to a popular Baltic Sea resort.
