Porn Valley- “It’s cool to win, but nominations give you an opportunity to put out a lot of press releases,” Matt Zane is saying. “People tend to take that shit seriously.”

Zane, who’s a guest on PrimeTimeUncensored, www.primetimeuncensored.com Saturday afternoon, is explaining how there’s better P.R. mileage in a nomination than an actual win – his point being, can you name winners of last year’s awards.

Sinnamon Love’s hosting a show on PTU called Fetish at Night except it’s being broadcast live in the afternoon. And Love’s giggling. She just made the connection that Zane’s father is Chuck Zane, and that she used to work for Chuck and Zane Entertainment.

“That was one of the most perverted companies ever,” states Love referring to Matt as the spawn of Satan.

“I feel so dirty- I used to work for your dad,” Love’s telling Matt. “I feel like such a perv. I’m a bad, bad girl.”

Love was convinced that she ran into Matt a long time ago. He agreed.

“We’ve just never slept together,” he says.

Zane’s accompanied by Pleasure Productions contract girl Tera Wray. Wray’s up for Best New Starlet and is named in a couple of other categories totaling six nominations, including a Most Outrageous sex scene.

But Wray’s saying the Starlet award is the one that means the most to her. Wray, who’s accompanied by her boyfriend Wayne Static [from the heavy metal group Affliction], also lets on the fact that she’s not wearing any underwear.

Meanwhile, Zane’s remarking on the fact that he had been out of the business for awhile but came on strong with five nominations of his own this year. He’s not even counting the Most Outrageous Sex scene nom for Club Satan, a project he had a lot to do with.

According to Zane, his cousin Rob Black thought it was a horrible movie.

“But I was dying to make this crazy assed movie,” Zane’s saying. “So we didn’t even submit it, and there it is. Who would have known?”

Zane says the movie features probably “the most blasphemous shit you can imagine”.

On the other hand, Zane’s big project for the year was Punk’d Ur Ass in which Dave Navarro not only makes his first appearance in a porn movie but Zane hangs suspended with hooks in his back while Wray’s grabbing on to him for dear life.

They repeated that performance later at Houston’s Lone Star Pornutopia in November. Wray said she was better equipped to deal with it a second time, and could laugh about it. Meanwhile, Zane’s also making it clear that Navarro’s role in Punk’d Ur Ass was a non-sex one, that Zane was performing on Navarro’s Spread Entertainment show in the course of promoting yet another feature, Tattooed And Tight #1.

“He was cool enough to be in this,” says Zane of the belief that Navarro’s presence only validates what the industry’s trying to do in general. Static was asked if he’d entertain the thought of directing porn.

“I like being a rock star and dating a porn star,” he replies, mentioning the fact that Wray constantly wants to have sex.

Noting how Zane picked her up with four steel hooks in his back, Wray, wincing, said she was freaked out by the whole affair and felt queasy the entire time.

“I could feel his muscles, his skin- everything pulled. I felt his pain.”

According to Wray, by nature she empathizes with what she sees on the screen.

“If someone in a movie gets cut, I feel it,” she says.

“It was chaos, insane,” Matt has to agree.

Zane’s explaining how the idea behind the Punk’d Ur Ass project grew out of a concept he loves- the Jackass phenomenon.

“I decided to make a movie about guys doing specific stunts and antics so they could bang real porn girls,” he goes on to say.

In one stunt a guy runs down Hollywood Boulevard in a g-string while giving random lap dances. Zane said he wanted to show how stupid the male populace will get being around pussy and the prospect of having it.

“And I’ve done a lot of stupid shit to get into a woman’s pants,” he concedes. “At the age of 19 I’d stick my dick in anything. And I’ve stuck my cock in everything. I’ve been in 48 states and 18 countries. But I’m not like that any more. Give me incentive.”

For her part, Wray said she had a lot of fun making the movie while Zane feel there’s nothing out there quite like it.

“I never laughed so hard,” says Wray. Zane describes how they almost got arrested in shooting the sequel but doesn’t elaborate.

Explaining that he tries to entertain viably on modest budgets, Zane, making a case for reality-based porn, said he had no idea what some people in the business were trying to accomplish with huge money behind them.
His guess is that at least 70% of the pornographers fall short in what they’re trying to accomplish.

“Do I want to see $250,000 porn movies?” Zane asks, already answering his own question. “I can think of half a dozen movies like that. I don’t go that route and who knows if this is what fans really want to see.”

Along his own lines, Zane likes tattooing and sex, preferably mixed together.

Zane’s also of the opinion that couples porn is ego stroking and silly while being an overly developed idea that simply doesn’t exist in reality.

“Guys can’t wait to get their hands on a Max Hardcore movie, and the women I know who watch porn are freaky to begin with. They’d rather see creampies than people making love on a pirate ship.”

But Zane was certainly of the belief that fans will be talking about hooks and kickboxers in his movie.

Instead of bringing a sense of Hollywood to porn, Zane says he simply tries to bring out the personalities of the participants so that the viewer can enjoy the female performer being fucked.

“It’s not just about making great sex,” says Zane. “I need to know something more about the girl so I can get involved with her. You feel some type of resonance and when you approach it from this angle it becomes a better way of making reality-based porn. Then it truly is adult entertainment.”

Zane feels that adult cinema is a viable way to go in terms of the way people can express themselves.

And Zane also relies on YouPorn to make 10 minute weekly updates of his movies.

“That way the fan gets to see the pre-behind the scenes,” he says. Zane calls the YouTube gimmick another avenue for involving people with what you’re doing.

Towards the end of the show, Love, Wray and Zane watch a clip that’s been the rage of the Internet. Called 2 Girls 1 Cup, www.2girls1cup.com it features what appears to be women licking shit and exchanging full-on vomit kisses.

According to Wray, it’s probably the most disgusting thing she’s ever seen.
Having seen enough videos in Germany of people shitting on one another, Zane was inclined to believe it was on the level.

“But I think everyone should do it,” he says. “They can’t arrest everyone and put them in jail.”

However, Zane says you won’t see any of that kind of content in a Matt Zane Production.

“We have an in-house lawyer who clears all my ideas,” he says. “We’re legally on the up and up.”
