Pompano Beach, Florida- Seven people were shot and wounded after a fight inside a Pompano Beach strip club led to a shooting early Sunday morning, police said.

Here is what took place shortly after 1 a.m. at the Synn City nightclub, located in the 1800 block of North Dixie Hwy., according to Broward Sheriff’s Office investigators:

A fight started inside the club and a shot was fired after a female rapper named Trina arrived for a scheduled appearance.

Security guards removed several people involved in the fracas and numerous additional shots were fired outdoors, resulting in the guards and customers being wounded. Several people were detained and questioned.

A 17-year-old juvenile was arrested on a charge of discharging a firearm in public and two existing warrants for battery.

Deputies secured the area and found two security guards and three club patrons who had been shot. Pompano Beach Fire Rescue units treated five victims and transported them to North Broward Medical Center. Two additional gunshot victims from the club arrived at the hospital on their own, bringing the total number of victims to seven.

At last report, all victims were in stable condition.
