Missouri - www.nydailynews.com - Police in Frontenac, Mo., released the 911 call made from August Busch IV’s house to report an "unresponsive woman' the day that the beer heir’s girlfriend, Adrienne Martin, died.
In the 20-second call, a caller said that a woman was "not waking up,' according to the transcript.
That man was later identified by police as household employee Michael Jung, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
When asked by the dispatcher if the woman was breathing, Jung said "We don't know. It's dark back there. I'm going to get a light and try and see."
Police arrived a short time later and Martin was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 27-year-old's death shocked neighbors who described her as a dedicated mother.
While early reports said that police were looking into an overdose as the cause of death, Martin’s ex-husband told the Post-Dispatch that she had a rare heart condition. And at a memorial service, Martin’s former boss said she was "against drugs."
Busch, the former CEO of Anheuser-Busch beer company, declined to comment on his girlfriend’s death as did Martin’s family. But her former husband, Kevin Martin, said he had met Busch months ago and the millionaire personally called to tell him about his ex-wife’s death, the Post-Dispatch reported.
"[My son and I] both think the world of August," he told the newspaper.
"He is a good man."
For Busch, his girlfriend's death was his third unwanted entrance into the spotlight. In 1983, while he was in college, Busch crashed his black Corvette, killing his female passenger. When he was found later at his home, he claimed amnesia, according to reports, but was never prosecuted.
Then in 1985, he was charged – and later acquitted – of third degree assault after a high-speed police chase that ended with cops shooting out a tire in his Mercedes-Benz.
