SAN DIEGO (TNA) – New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez has certainly gotten into the spirit of the inaugural “Naughty America Day,” celebrated July 3, the day before Independence Day.

According to the New York Daily News, the married father of two has separated from his wife of five years, Cynthia, over rumors of serial infidelity.

Rodriguez seemingly prepared for Naughty America Day (or “NA Day”) by being seen out on the town with an unidentified blonde woman back in May. Then last week he reignited infidelity rumors by being linked to pop singer and “SEX” star Madonna.

“Not bad work for A-Rod,” said Naughty America spokesperson Mark Webb. “He’s a naughty, naughty individual. He embodies the naughtiness within us all. The only difference is he’s got the filthy lucre to act on it.”

Naughty America Day, created by adult entertainment company Naughty America, encourages Americans to display their naughty side once a year while honoring those Americans who have behaved ignobly throughout our nation’s history.

It’s unclear whether Rodriguez is aware of Naughty America Day. Webb, however, believes that Rodriguez can be counted on to celebrate the holiday for years to come.

“With A-Rod, it’s more like a 365-day a year celebration,” he said. “He gouges [baseball] owners, hangs with strippers, and frosts his hair. What’s not despicable about this man?”

Rodriguez’s wife Cynthia appears to have gotten in the spirit of NA Day herself, leaving her two infant children and jetting to Paris for a romantic getaway with rock star Lenny Kravitz.
