Porn Valley- Compared to what the rest of the porn industry was up to this past week, life couldn't have been mellower on Mitch Spinelli's set Monday afternoon. There were no bounced checks; no scenes supposedly being sold under the radar to other companies; no distributors accused of pulling magic acts with invoices and no directors leaving en masse for other porn companies.
With Robby Fischer manning camera, Spinelli was calling this movie Ass to Heels, and each girl in her scene would have to demonstrate what that meant.
"A classic pose for B.J's and pop shots," Fischer, who has the most pronounced deltoid muscles in the industry, tells Nadia Styles. Styles is working with Benjamin Bratt who wears his hair like Harry Houdini, and Bratt makes his dick disappear real quick in Styles' rectum. Styles' response is a crescendo of echoing moans and pleas to keep putting Bratt's slipping penis back in her shit box.
"I want to taste my ass on your cock," she tells Benjamin Bratt.
Fischer is telling Styles it's okay to spit in his face but don't come near his camera lens. "That pisses me off," he tells her. Styles is 23. "But I know you want me to say I'm 18," she laughs. Styles tells Fischer that cum makes her burp.
Besides Styles, Spinelli's shooting scenes with Katsumi, Brooke Haven and Cindy Sterling. Sterling's telling a story about her former agent [Joel Lawrence] and how she was in the hospital with an IV in her arm and couldn't make it to a set. Lawrence told her to rip the IV out of her arm and get there. Katsumi's now living in San Diego and takes a train to commute to Porn Valley.
In terms of looks and disposition, Spinelli says Haven's a throwback to some of the great female porn stars. Haven tells me she went to Wankus' birthday party Sunday and that we missed one another, evidently. Asked if anything went crazy at Wankus' after I left, Haven was evidently held to the same code of silence as I was and wasn't spilling any beans.
"But they were texting me well into 3 o'clock in the morning," says Haven. "They were still drinking Jager. But I had to get going because we have The Cheesecake Factory every Sunday night. It's kind of like church- porn church."
Haven also signed for Mitch Spinelli during the Vegas convention but made a pact that she wouldn't drink the whole time she was there.
Not that I'm a big drinker," she says, "but I didn't want to have any days where I woke up with a headache. I stuck to that and felt great the whole time. I had a lot of fun meeting the fans. I'm an attention whore so it worked out for me." Otherwise, Haven did mundane things like shopping and going on the gondola ride at The Venetian.
"I went out to dinner but I did none of the clubs," she adds. "I did one club but it was a fun party and was catered."
Haven was also up for Best New Starlet but says she didn't care that she lost. She was just happy to be recognized and nominated.
"Maybe I'll win something else next year," she laughs. "Something else might come my way." Haven said she heard rumors that there was some guy nominated for Best newcomer who was in the business 10 years. I figured she was talking about Scott Styles who's been in for three with the legend probably now making it ten. Haven points out that Jenaveve Jolie, another best New Starlet nominee, has been in the business two or three years.
Haven has been in the business a year and two months and I asked her to name some of her highlights.
"Working for Robby D was one of them," she says. "Also being with Direct Models and my on and off with the boyfriend- those are great highlights. Working with Tyler Faith was definitely a highlight. That was a great scene." Haven recalls being injured at the time they shot that scene for a team Tyler production.
"She couldn't penetrate me so I got to do all the penetrating," recalls Haven. "But she could really use her tongue. It was hot and we kept telling each other we were going to fuck off camera but it hasn't happened yet.
"Everything has been really good," Haven continues. "And I love working with Mitch Spinelli. He's great. I've also shot several layouts for Club Magazine."
In the beginning of her career, Haven said she couldn't get arrested for magazine work. Then she met Scott Preston who shot her a number of times.
"Now I have layouts coming out in January, February and March." I've compared Haven to Jenna Jameson several times and Haven says she still has yet to meet Jameson although there had been two opportunities.
" But I have no complaints about the business so far," says Haven, summing up her brief career. "I've never had gonorrhea or chlamydia- knock on wood. That's pretty good."
Among her New Year's resolutions, Haven said she'd like to do a scene with Ben English and Eva Angelina, seeing as how her and Angelina had a strong hate for one another.
"Very strong," Haven emphasizes. "Like no one would put us on the same set together. Everybody kept saying you guys should be the best of friends, just get over it. It was a guy-thing. We have a mutual friend. The friend said you guys should be friends. So we both decided, hell, we'll get over it. On Christmas Eve she sent me a text message saying Merry Christmas blah-blah-blah. We talked on the phone that night most of the night. Then we ate Christmas dinner together the next day."
"I heard another good way of bonding is sharing a tranny together," I tell Haven.
"That I wouldn't know!" Haven laughs. "I got enough flak. I read that Adult DVD Talk and there was this big thing- what happened to Brooke Haven? Because I did one scene for one movie which won an award at AVN, doing a guy with a strap-on.
"Someone went into massive detail describing that scene on ADT," I say to Haven.
"It was for Francesca Le- it was her movie," Haven continues. "I almost got into a fistfight on the set because I told Derek I didn't want to be penetrated during the scene. I would do a guy [Christian], no problem but I need to protect my image. I'm not going to be penetrated. Derek handled it because me and Francesca were at each other's throats. Finally she said, fine, don't be penetrated. Let's just do the scene. The scene went great. Me and Francesca have been best of friends ever since that day. I didn't want to be penetrated because I'm not going to fuck a guy in the ass and then have him fucking me. For whatever reason, I just didn't want it. That's all. I barely wanted to do the movie in the first place. But I have this thing where I'll try most things once and if I don't like it, I don't like it. But I can't believe all those people on ADT were, like, what happened to Brooke Haven? It's not that big of a deal! I didn't do a tranny for godssake. In that same thread they were writing what happened to sweet, beautiful Brooke Haven? Now she's dirty and nasty. She was talking so dirty. I've always talked dirty. Haven't they seen my features?"
Rumor also has it that Haven along with Nadia Styles, Roxy Jezel and Jenna Presley just got non-exclusive contracts which include directing, but Haven wasn't saying which company it was for. Another rumor has it that it's Vicious Media.
"I haven't even touched a video camera so that could get interesting," Haven laughs. "So that's going to be a lot of fun." On another note, Haven mentions that she had a meeting with Vivid that went nowhere.
"But that's okay," says Haven philosophically. "If it's the right time, it's the right time. I think, honestly I really didn't know what to say in that interview. I just know to be honest. When they asked how many movies I had done, it was well over 150. I think they want some new, fresh face. But that's okay."
I tell Haven that didn't hurt the chances of either Dyanna Lauren or Christy Canyon.
"Maybe there's still hope for me," chuckles Haven. "I'm getting ready to have my veneers done. Then after that I'm going to have fat pockets taken out. [Around the edges of her mouth and chin.] Maybe that'll do it."
Haven also got a Pomeranian for Christmas.
"I'm a new mom," she announces. "That's a new experience. But I won't be one of those girls that takes your dog to the sets, though. I think the dog needs to stay at home while you're working. That's my personal opinion."
"Are you getting little fashion outfits for it?" I ask Haven.
"Jenna Presley's dog is a boy and she insists on dressing it in all pink and jewelry and everything," Haven notes. "My dog's going to stay a boy." However once she shaves the dog, Haven says she's got a shirt for him that someone gave her that says: Bitches Love me.
"Because they do- he's a little chick-magnet."
