The network cameras will be in Porn Valley this week shooting an episode and Dan is asked how this all came about. He signed a deal last year and the show airs this Fall in Canada. It’s Called The Right Hand.

“We shot the pilot last Summer in Chicago and we also filmed episodes in New Orleans and Las Vegas, says Dan who used to have a show on the now defunct KSEX and now heads up Immoral Productions where he’s the Rube Goldberg of such porn fare as “Squirtamania,” “Cum Hunters,” “Titterific,” and “Fuck a Fan.”
With porn and the porn industry falling into the doldrums and becoming as serious as a crypt, Dan’s a lone throwback to the zanier days of yesteryear when shoots were unpredictable and an imminent adventure to be on.
One instance came in Fuck a Fan 9 where Dan was nearly drowned from the amounts of squirt juice gushing from Mason Moore during her scene. Moore evacuated so much nectar that she literally knocked Dan backwards.
Industry photographer Rick Garcia described it thusly:
“I thought Dan was a goner when Mason unleashed her tidal wave into his mouth. It brought back flashbacks of days in Vietnam when it rained for forty days and forty nights straight. I really thought I was going to rely on my jungle life savings skills and try and revive him. The word ‘medic’ kept echoing through my head; however, if it came down to mouth-to-mouth Dan’s life was in God’s hands, as I have seen where that tongue has been.”
And who in his right mind could pass up the Dan-inspired Cocksucking Challenge where an online audience and three in-studio judges critique the blow job skills and techniques of porn starlets?
Then there’s a story about how Dan, supposedly in territorial dispute with another porn company, took a rich heaping dump in their editing bay. For the record, Dan claims it didn’t happen but one suspects there’s more truth to it than any wholesale swearing on a stack of bibles. Yet, on another occasion, Dan was on the receiving end of a psychotic outburst when performer Dominic Kane landed a punch at the XBiz awards.
Apparently Kane, a pro fighter as well, was mad because his erectile dysfunction had been getting the better of him and was having him black balled from movie sets.
From the story that was told, Kane confronted Dan who was engaged in a business conversation with a talent agent and threw a sucker punch when he felt he wasn’t getting enough attention and respect. It caught Dan on the side of his head knocking him to the ground. Police caught up with Kane a couple blocks away after he ran threw a parking lot and tried hopping a fence.
No stranger to being interviewed, Dan’s been on national radio shows like, Opie & Anthony and Don & Mike; adult industry publications like, XBIZ and AVN and even the Nation’s second largest newspaper, The Washington Post.
One national men’s magazine wanted to know more about one of Dan’s project called Snort That Cum. True, it could be confused with any game show on regular TV, but this event involved Tanner Mayes, Sierra Skye, Amy Starz, Britney Stevens, Tara Lynn, Natasha Nice and Isis Monroe snorting the acrid by-product of men in heat.
Then one time Dan had Mallory Rae losing her virginity on camera to Evan Stoen. [Not the ex porn attorney.]
At the time, Rae had just graduated from high school in Texas and was still a virgin since she’s evidently into older guys. After graduating, Rae took a job dancing at a strip club. A customer came in the club and during the course of their conversation, she told him she was a virgin.
The customer, who has connections in the industry, had a hard time believing this and asked if she would be willing to take a medical examination to prove it, and, if so, lose her virginity on film. Rae agreed. She went to a doctor’s office, who signed an affidavit that her hymen was intact. Mallory was then flown out to Los Angeles, where she had sex for the first time in her life with Stone.
Dan later used her for his Cum Hunters series, where Rae went to a USC game and picked up three random guys and blew them on camera.
Several years ago he had a show in the waning days of KSEX where porn chicks played naked parlor games. Sounds innocuous enough, but Dan became the subject of gossip and rumor claiming he was brought in by the new owner to mastermind some form of political unrest and internal dissension. So it’s some of this controversy, invention and wackiness that HBO’s apparently hoping to capture.
The show, as Dan tells it, is going to be shot through the eyes of his production assistant, Brandon, who Dan describes is a “socially awkward young kid from a small town in Canada.”
“It’s about all the crazy adventures we get into,” Dan continues.
Dan first got approached about the project some time ago at the Venus Berlin show. Kacey Jordan, according to Dan, was supposed to be at his booth but disappeared to turn tricks.
“I’m telling this story why I can’t shoot a Fuck a Fan,” relates Dan.
“And this guy goes ‘your serious’? Sure, I’m serious. I told him no matter, I’ll find a girl. He says, ‘you’re crazy. I want you to meet somebody, don’t go anywhere.’
“He brings a guy over and they start whispering. Then he asks me if anyone’s ever done a reality show with me. I said I wouldn’t do one. Then he says, ‘we’re serious- you might have heard one called Family Business? We’re involved in that.’ He goes you’re the guy we’ve been looking for.”
“After a lot of talks and discussions we went to Chicago. Jim Powers, myself and three girls went and they filmed a pilot and shopped this to producers. HBO in Canada jumped on it.”
Dan was signed to a 12 episode deal which begins airing in Canada later this year. A US deal is pending.
