Long Beach, NY – Arrow Productions, www.xxxdeepthroat.com classic adult film “Candy Stripers” known for it’s naughty nurse fantasy storyline has been re-envisioned by Terminal Press.
And the New York-based company decided to take that idea to the dark side with their comic adaptation, premiering at the 2008 San Diego Comic Convention.
A dark fairytale influenced by the events of the Holocaust and the social psychology experiments conducted by Stanley Milgram might not be the first concept one would imagine in regards to updating an iconic adult film, but
it fits right into Terminal Press’ “HARD/CORE” line of reinterpretations.
“Candy Stripers” places its main character, Nurse Jessamine, into a
situation where blindly following the commands of those with authority traps her in a cycle of destructive and morally reprehensible behaviors.
We find out if she dares to take personal responsibility and resist those in power or falls victim to the perils of obedience.
“When the guys at Terminal Press told me their story idea we were a little concerned. But, once Ray Pistol and I saw the awesome artwork and the story in comic book form we got it and we think our fans will too,” states Arrow’s Robert Interlandi.
“Candy Stripers” is written by Brian Ferrara (Debbie Does Dallas, Silent
Assassin), with art by Garrett Eisenheim (renowned tattoo artist), colors by Adam Street (Marvel Adventures Hulk, Marvel Adventures Spider-Man), letters by Narek Gevorgian and Separations by Joe Frazzetta.
“Candy Stripers” will debut at the 2008 San Diego Comic Con on July 24th at booth 1221. The Limited Edition print run will only be available through www.terminalpress.com and Terminal Press’ convention appearances.
