The adult entertainment industry has commenced its awards season with the opening of pre-nominations for both the 2027 GayVN Awards and the 2027 AVN Awards, inviting industry professionals and fans to submit their selections for consideration.
2027 GayVN Awards Pre-Nominations Underway
AVN Media Network initiated the pre-nomination process for the 2027 Fan-Voted GayVN Awards on September 1, 2026. Fans and industry members are invited to pre-nominate adult stars, cam models, and creators for recognition at the ceremony, which is scheduled for January 21, 2027, at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.
Industry professionals can access a restricted pre-nomination site at submissions.avn.com. Those previously approved to submit pre-nominations for the jury-voted GayVN Awards can log in using existing credentials. New legitimate adult talent and other industry members can request access by signing up. Fans can submit their pre-nominations via a public pre-nomination site.
The pre-nomination site will close at 11:59 p.m. PT on September 20. Users are limited to one pre-nomination per nominee in each category and five total pre-nominations per category. For the public site, users select a category from a pull-down menu, fill out two fields, and click "Submit." Information for submitting pre-nominations on the industry site is provided upon login for approved accounts.

Pre-nominations for the "Collab" categories, Hottest All-Male Creator Collab and Hottest Bi Creator Collab, may only be submitted by industry members.
Separately, JRL CHARTS Gay News reported on August 15, 2026, that pre-nominations for the 2027 GayVN Awards were open, allowing eligible industry professionals one month to submit movies, scenes, and performers. The submission window for these pre-nominations is scheduled to close at 11:59 p.m. on September 15, 2026, with organizers stating there will be no extension to this deadline. This marks the beginning of the countdown to the 2027 GayVN Awards ceremony in Las Vegas on January 21, 2027.
2027 AVN Awards Pre-Nominations Open
Pre-nominations for the 2027 AVN Awards, presented by MyFreeCams, are also open. Industry professionals are encouraged to submit their work to the AVN Committee for consideration. The portal for submissions will be available until September 15, with no extension to the deadline for submission, which is September 30. Videos shot between September 15 and September 30 can still be submitted for consideration through the traditional release deadline of September 30.
Those previously approved to use the pre-nomination site can log in with their existing username and password. New users can register. Submitting parties are advised to review the submission rules thoroughly. One submission metric allows for up to five pre-nominated videos for any one category. For video categories, a release must have been made commercially available between October 1, 2025, and September 30, 2026, through at least one qualifying method or platform.
Qualifying methods and platforms include a membership site, VOD/streaming site, DVD, and broadcast network. For full-length movie categories, submissions must include two qualifying release methods.
