Back-Up QB Sues Tennessee Titans for $20M

NASHVILLE -Tennessee Titans’ backup quarterback Adrian McPherson has sued the team for $20 million, claiming the team’s mascot ran over him with a cart as he warmed up during a preseason game, putting him on the injured reserve list and forcing him to miss the season.

McPherson says he was in the second year of a three-year contract when the mascot, T-Rac, ran over him on Aug. 12 as he warmed during halftime in a game against the New Orleans Saints. He seeks $5 million in compensatory damages and $15 million in punitive damages. He is represented in Davidson County Court by Christopher Taylor of Memphis.
