Porn Valley- “Why be John Malkovich when you can be Ron Jeremy?”
Indeed.
In this spoof of the Charlie Kaufman film Being John Malkovich, a man discovers a portal into Ron Jeremy and his… erm… prominent organ South of the equator.
Instead of merely slipping out of the host, one is expelled from Jeremy each time “The Hedgehog” farts. The intruder is then spit, naked, into a dumpster.
While porn stars pervade this 40 minute film, it is not an adult feature. But parents probably still shouldn’t feel safe letting their small children rent it.
Being Ron Jeremy stars writer, director, producer Brian Berke, actress Mia Crowe, and the inimitable Andy Dick alongside a slew of porn starlets plus Ron himself.
It’s an offbeat comedy, and an attempt for Mr. Jeremy to break further into the mainstream. He already does stand up comedy, which revolves quite a lot around the porn industry, has landed small roles in Hollywood films, including The Chase with Charlie Sheen, and he became the subject of a documentary, Porn Star: The Legend of Ron Jeremy.
As one of the classic examples of the fact that with the right attitude… or equipment… anyone can get a little action, Ron Jeremy has become a cult hero for millions, and a pop icon beyond compare. He comes off as a normal person in interviews, with a great sense of humor about his profession.
The DVD of Being Ron Jeremy comes complete with some of Ron’s stand up, behind the scenes with some of the porn stars in the film, including former California gubernatorial candidate Mary Carey, and a short segment entitled Inside the “Porn Actors Studio.” It’s all you could ever imagine.
