Porn Valley- If you have the time to listen to Bill Margold’s recent interview on PervertRadio, www.pervertradio.com I would urge you to do so. It’s another 90 minutes of colorful industry stories, personal anecdotes and acidic observations. Like an amusing park ride, you never know when Margold’s going to jump the tracks and veer off at death-defying angles.
Margold got on a discussion about OSHA. “What happened this year is that we [the adult industry] unfortunately tried to deal with the real world,” he said. “Because I guess [Sharon] Mitchell wasn’t happy enough on her own island X and tried to deal with the other 25 letters of the alphabet. She found out much to her horror that while she became perhaps a little more famous than she should be, the price of fame is also a sense that you now have to get along with the other 25 letters who are now coming to visit at our dinner table and we really don’t want them there.
“One of the most loathsome things I went through this year,” Margold continues, “was listening to Tim Connelly of Adult Video News tell me that he had never been more famous in his life after all the attention he got during this AIDS controversy, the AIDS horror story. I sat there across from him at his desk and almost threw up on him- listening to him tell me that now he’s famous because people just call him and call him and call him about the HIV problem. That’s the kind of fame I would never want to admit to having. He doesn’t have a clue.”
