WILKES-BARRE, Pa – Two Virginia men convicted of murder and serving life sentences in state prisons face a possible June trial to determine damages in a wrongful-death lawsuit.
At a hearing Friday, Luzerne County Judge William Amesbury said Harlow Cuadra, 28, and Joseph Kerekes, 36, will face a two-day trial in which Amesbury will determine damages the two owe the estate of Bryan Kocis, whom they were charged with killing in January 2007.
The two men appeared via video for the hearing from their respective state correctional institutions.
