Veteran adult film actor and director Buck Adams died on October 28, 2008, at the age of 52, due to complications from heart failure. Adams, born Charles Stephen Allen, passed away at Northridge Hospital Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Early Life and Career Entry

Buck Adams was born Charles Stephen Allen on November 15, 1955. Before entering the adult film industry, Adams worked as a boxer and a bouncer. He began his career in adult films in the early 1980s, shortly after his sister, Amber Lynn, started her own adult film career. Amber Lynn is also a porn star.

Adams performed in over 700 movies as an actor and performer. His directorial debut was the 1988 movie Squirt for Arrow Films. He went on to direct approximately 80 films.

Some of his acting credits include Paul Thomas' original Bad Wives (1989), Raw Talent 2, Sin City's Babewatch series, Buck Adams' Frankenstein, Beach Patrol, and Uncle Buck (2005).

As a director, Adams garnered a Best Film nomination from AVN for his 35mm Antigua Pictures feature Uninhibited, starring Rocco Siffredi. This film was originally shot in 1993 at a reported cost of $1.2 million. Uninhibited was rated R by the MPAA and was picked up by HBO and USA Network. Hardcore sex scenes were later reinserted for its release to the adult video market in 2006.

A screenplay for "Night Club" was written for Buck Adams in 1996. This 35mm shot-on-film production was described as a gangster melodrama intended as a tribute to Martin Scorsese.

Health Battles and Final Days

Adams had a history of heart problems, having survived several heart attacks during the 1990s. He died on October 28, 2008, at 2:03 PM, at Northridge Hospital Medical Center in Los Angeles. His daughter Christa, his sister Amber Lynn, and his close friend Harold Jenkins were at his side. Bridgette Monroe shared the news of his passing, noting that Adams directed her first porn film and was a friend.

Just before his death, Adams had completed building a studio where he intended to produce Internet videos.
