TAMPA - A dancer at the Mons Venus strip club is charged with felony grand theft after being accused of stealing another dancer's bag, bikinis and underwear, records show.

Tara Lynn Woodruff, 33, of Tampa was being held at the Orient Road Jail today on $2,000 bail.

Woodruff told police she thought the bag and clothing were hers, an affidavit states.

Police said surveillance video from the club, 2040 N. Dale Mabry Highway, shows Woodruff taking an orange-and-brown leather bag worth about $300 from an employee cubbyhole Jan. 16 and placing it into a larger black bag, then leaving the club.

The dancer who owned the bag told police it contained three bikinis each worth about $55 and several pairs of underwear. She viewed the surveillance video and identified her bag, police said.

Police searched Woodruff's belongings and found the bikinis and some of the underwear, an affidavit states. She was arrested at the club about 11:50 p.m. Monday.
