AKRON, Ohio — Charges were dismissed in the case of a club manager charged in connection with an alleged rape of a 17-year-old girl involved in “Girls Gone Wild” taping.
A trial was scheduled to begin this week for Holly Everson,[pictured] the manager at Mango’s nightclub in Akron.
A prosecutor said charges were thrown out when officials had trouble getting in touch with the victim.
The 17-year-old had appeared on local and national TV saying she was raped while on a “Girls Gone Wild” tour bus in Akron in September, WEWS reported.
Holly Everson Everson said she quit working at the club that night. She said the bar had been sold two weeks before and she didn’t like the direction it was taking.
Charges had also been dismissed previously against a “Girls Gone Wild” cameraman.
Charges are still pending against an Akron bar owner and a promoter who helped set up the promotional appearance.
