CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The woman who admitted running a high-end prostitution ring in Charlotte is in jail again. Police booked Sallie Saxon on shoplifting charges Monday night.
Saxon is charged with misdemeanor larceny. Eyewitness News learned she was arrested in connection with a shoplifting incident two weeks ago in the Cotswold area of Charlotte.
Saxon pleaded guilty back in January to running a high-end prostitution ring for six years from her home in Charlotte.
Sometimes Saxon had more than 100 prostitutes working for her. Some would accompany clients on trips across the country. Saxon made $3 million from her illegal business.
She also pleaded guilty in January to laundering money. Saxon has not been sentenced yet on that charge or the prostitution charge.
Saxon is due in Mecklenburg County court Tuesday afternoon.
The misdemeanor larceny charge involves stealing something worth less than $200.
