This is just a thought. But Alternative Modeling is supplying models to a company that’s killing animals, correct? And AVN, a PETA banner waver, is selling Alternative Modeling a booth to be at Erotica L.A. Hmmmm. Methinks AVN has a public relations problem on its hands.
Porn Valley- This morning I spoke to Eli from Alternative Modeling in Florida. Eli wanted to clarify some points regarding Jack Spade in particular. Spade is not an active business partner of the agency, says Eli, meaning Spade has no financial interest in the company. We also spoke, obviously, about the uproar created this week when two of Eli’s models on KSEX talked about how they killed animals for a company called Sexy Outdoor Sports. Eli doesn’t seem to think this is such a big deal and claims the uproar in the business has been relatively insignificant. I’ve decided to render this interview in the Q & A format so that the reader can form his own conclusions.
Gene: You guys got a lot of publicity in a short period of time.
Eli: You know, I kind of have mixed emotions about it, at the same time. But we have. As I sat there during the other night, I’m, like, okay. I, personally have issues with the shoot in general. It’s not something I typically book people for. [Eli did stress on the KSEX interview that Sexy Outdoor Sports was a good customer]. But as I’ve said from the beginning, we book models within their limitations. If a girl’s a hunter and they’re comfortable with the shoot then I’m going to line it up. Just like girls who do double-anal. I personally might be disgusted by it. You know what I mean?
Gene: While we’re on the subject I got a counter e-mail from another guy [Wild Bill Slevin of Adult X Models] who says he has an agency in Florida. He was saying that this same company Sexy Outdoor Sports has put girls in harm’s way. He says there are girls who come back from these shoots with mosquito bites like you wouldn’t believe. And he says there was one instance where some girl was asked or required to taunt a venomous snake.
Eli: I personally don’t know. I haven’t had that experience. I provide myself or one of my drivers is always with the girl the entire time. I’ve never had an experience like that. Never.
Gene: Then I notice other sites are picking up the fact and calling these things tantamount to snuff videos- the fact that animals are being killed.
Eli: I don’t really want to get into a whole lot of it. It is his site. I make sure my girls are safe, they come back and they’re happy with the shoot. That’s my job.
Gene: But I have to ask you this question and I think it’s a fair one. Doesn’t the thought cross your mind that, hey, these are animals that are being killed here.
Eli: Yeah…sure.
Gene: You have to take that into consideration. Ultimately there’s going to be some kind of backlash. People are going to get aroused. It’s an emotional issue.
Eli: Yeah, it is. Again it’s why it’s something I wouldn’t bring up in a public forum but here I’m doing it again.
Gene: You say this company is a good client of yours.
Eli: It’s somebody we do business with. I know him pretty well.
Gene: You’ve been doing business in Miami six months but have had this agency…
Eli: I’ve had it for over four years out of Boston and moved to Miami. We have many, many clients that do everything. We have Aqua Entertainment, the underwater sex scenes; we work with an adult cable television show network which is very new; we work with Bang Bros. frequently. We work with Icy Porn. Realistically I have a 100 or so clients in my database down there. Only about 10, I’d say shoot every day of the week. But another 10 shoot once a week. Another 10 shoot twice a month and it trickles down from there. We have a fair amount of work. You’ve probably seen 15 or 20 girls on my website. Then I have another data base that exceeds 50 or 60 girls that we represent.
Gene: You want to clarify that point about Jack Spade. But you kind of got the impression if you listened to that [KSEX] show- he was using the word partner and that kind of connotes a business relationship.
Eli: There is a business relationship. It’s currently verbal. It is between him and I. I represent him as male talent. And our partnership, if you will, is a verbal partnership on this specific trip. Hopefully, on future trips we’ll possibly be doing business on an ongoing basis in Los Angeles. That is how the relationship is going at this point.
Gene: In other words he doesn’t have vested money in the agency.
Eli: Correct.
Gene: So, let me ask you. Have you been getting any feedback or what-the-fucks from anybody in the industry about this story?
Eli: Oh yeah. Definitely.
Gene: What is your basic statement to all of this.
Eli: As I stated earlier, as a personal issue, I’m not going to make judgments. If a girl wants to do a 100 guy gangbang, I’m not going to- if that’s within her limitations- I’m going to discuss the shoot with the models. She’ll either accept it or deny it. Just like any other agency in Los Angeles would with any one of those assignments. It’s the same situation here. This is an opportunity that’s opened up. This is what the shoot is. I’m going to tell you right now. Personally? I could never do it myself. This is not something I would do, but I would never do an anal scene either, myself. Or a gay scene. It’s just not something I would do. But I discuss the assignment in detail with the models. They accept or deny the assignments. Quite honestly, some of the girls they’re from southern Georgia here hunting is a lifestyle. That’s something they grew up with. It’s something that they do. Even anybody who’s arguing it now saying how cruel it is, okay. Hunting is something that happens all over the country, even out here in California. Hunting isn’t going to go away just because people have an issue with it. Quite honestly, if you read some of the articles, there are so many misstatements. They’re absolutely not having sex in blood. That’s absolutely not happening. Absolutely not. It’s not like the animal’s being killed and left there to rot. The animal is brought back and salvaged for food. Just like it would be for any other hunt.
Gene: But it’s also fair to point out that there’s a distinction between this and hunting. This is being presented as entertainment.
Eli: Yeah. Again, I personally, don’t necessarily agree with it altogether. I book the assignments with the girls that they’re comfortable with.
Gene: How much longer are you guys out here for?
Eli: We’re leaving on Sunday. But we’re coming back for L.A. Erotica. We’re going to be back out here till the 25th of June as well.
Gene: Are you going to be taking a booth at L.A. Erotica?
Eli: We are going to be having a booth. We are sharing a booth with one of our clients at L.A. Erotica.
Gene: I was curious if companies now have said, we’re not going to deal with you guys because of this issue. Is that fair to say that has happened?
Eli: No. I don’t think that’s fair to say at all. I think what we’re getting is responses from people that apparently have plenty of time on their hands and aren’t actually doing business. We’re conducting business every day. I have ten assignments booking every day. I don’t have the time to respond or deal with nonsense. Whatever. We’re conducting business here. We’ve had a few e-mails from people that aren’t even in the realm of booking models any way. We have not heard anything from our clients that we’re doing business with that this is an issue in any way. As a matter of fact, we’ve heard the contrary. Some of the statements being made out there- we’d rather your plane crash. Quite honestly, you want to kill 200 people on a plane? Innocent people? I just don’t get the mentality. To each their own. If that’s how they want to air it in a public forum. Wanting to kill a whole planeful of people? I just happen to not want to respond.
