Porn Valley- So Cytherea’s sitting at the bar. Brian aka Plus One, myself and Harry Weiss are watching Monday Night Football at Toast, a place on Ventura near DeSoto, and Cytherea joins us later in the evening. She’s wearing jeans, a cowboy hat and a halter top, and Weiss tactfully informs her she’s got it on backwards- the cowboy hat, that is. Which kind of fits into the pattern of Cytherea anecdotes I’m hearing from Brian all evening, most of them prefaced with “not for publication” or “off the record”.

The Cytherea gossip I enjoy best generally involves her and a microwave oven. But tonight will be a better story – at least for some of the other guys sitting at the bar. After she’s finished her Shrimp Farfelle, Brian takes care of the check. He’s not crazy about the Shrimp Farfelle, however, after tasting a bit of it. He and Cytherea then leave but not before a parting shot where Cytherea lifts her top and flashes the patrons through the window from the street where she’s standing with her titties jutting out. Guys are going, holy shit, did you just see that?

But they ain’t seen nothing yet. Cytherea takes it up the butt for the first time Wednesday. Besides, she reasons, she’s doing it for herself and her own company, Cytherea Productions. “I’ve been in the industry three years- it’s about time I should do it,” she says.

I was curious why she chose Tyler Durden as the performer to do the scene with.

“I’ve had sex with him before,” she explains. “He loves anal- he’s dirty like that. But he’s also a very gentle guy. He’s been in the industry for God knows how long. I just think he’s well experienced at the anal-thing and we have good chemistry. He’s a good guy, a really cool guy- very quiet, very calm. I like that.”

As a relative nobody with a Greek goddess name, Cytherea made her industry break-out on KSEX and after a variety of co-hosting gigs now holds down the 5 pm slot on Thursday night with The Goddess of Gush Show, trading quips with Weiss and Brian- sometimes falling asleep in mid show, other times totally bewildered such as when Frankie Lichter the Joke Ma-CHINE came on the show several weeks ago.

Brand new to the industry, Cytherea was very nervous the first time she was on KSEX, she says. Before that, she started out as a dancer at The American Bush, where she met a bartender named Ruben.

“He had legal problems and had a parole officer in Vegas,” she recalls.

“I decided I loved him and moved to Vegas with him. But he couldn’t get a job because of his rap sheet. I then got a job at Cheetah’s and tried to get enough money for an abortion. I found out later that he cheated on me. I almost passed out from the surgery, and he stole my last $80 to play poker and lost it all. I dumped him.” Cytherea thinks she probably would have remained at Cheetah’s had she not met Brian.

“At Cheetah’s I had the best DJ, the best manager and the best bar backing- it was really hard to find something like there anywhere else. I would have stayed there forever.”

Cytherea had a male friend named Platinum who Cytherea describes as being very gay. The night she met Brian, Cytherea was on the phone with Platinum crying about her relationship with Ruben.

“Platinum and Brian decided to go clubbing and invited me to go with them. I met them at The Red Square. I met Brian that night and we had sex. I dumped Ruben the next day.”

The thing that stood out in her budding relationship with Brian was the fact that he took her to California where she got to see the ocean for the first time at the age of 21. Prior to that Cytherea had grown up in Utah and lived for awhile in Idaho before moving to Vegas.

“I had never seen the ocean, and Brian proposed to me that year, 2002,” she says. They had known each other for several months when Brian took her to see the bar he owned.

“I also met all his friends and family,” she remembers of that California trip. Cytherea couldn’t tell you what was going on exactly in her head the moment she first met Brian. But in the first five days she knew she wanted to marry him.

“It was also the fact that he loved the kind of job that I had and enjoyed it,” she continues. “He wasn’t jealous and he was a really cool guy. I’ve never met anyone like that who was so secure of himself. He’s not a jealous guy. He doesn’t mind me having sex with other people of both sexes.”

As a footnote to the Vegas story, Cytherea’s dancing name at the time was Spring.

“I was using some other girl’s work card when I first came to Vegas,” she laughs. “I finally got my own but kept the name, Spring. When me and Brian decided that I was going to be a porn star, we went on the Internet and tried to find a name that was as exotic as my first name. We found Cytherea and I loved that name. But when I first got into the business, everybody thought it was so stupid. I was told I would never make it because of that name and that I needed a last name, yadda, yadda, yadda.”

“Cytherea Jones would certainly have hit the mark,” I suggest.

Cytherea first discovered her ability to squirt at the age of 18- well before she got into the industry.

“I squirted with one of my guys,” she says. “It was the first time I had an orgasm. His name was Merrill.”

The first time she had sex was the age of 16. Cytherea describes the kind of chair/bed that you’d get at a Pier One.

“My mom had one in the front room, and I had sex with Chris, my first love. Me and him were together for a year before I had sex with him. He made my panties so wet- they were soaking wet when they came off!” Then there was another guy she dated until she finished high school.

The first time Cytherea was on an adult set was with Tyce Bune.

“He had a kiss tattoo on his butt- he had tattooed eyeliner. I was very naive but I was very horny, too. He tried to do me up the butt. I said you could try. And every time he tried, it hurt. He’d try to put the tip in, and all you can hear is ow, ow, ow, ow. And he edited it to fucking making it look he did an anal scene with me, the little fucking prick. I don’t like him. He’s an ass.”

According to what her mother will tell you, Cytherea was a very good child.

“I entertained myself,” she says. “School was very hard for me because of ADD. I really found it hard to learn because I was also dyslexic. I was just all around weird. I got some air caught up in my brain when I was born.” She explains that the umbilical chord was wrapped around her neck.

“That caused a little bit of problem in my brain,” she says. Because of that Cythera had a hard time in school and still bears a scar from the time a teacher lost patience with her.

“I’ve had teachers walk me down to the principal’s office,” she adds, noting that often times it was in a headlock. One of her favorite stunts was shooting the water fountain across the hall.

“I’d drive teachers insane,” she says. “But I’ve calmed down quite a bit. I was a very hyper kid, though. Always hyper.” This is one of the reasons why Cytherea seeks herbal recreation.

“I lived in Idaho for a year and half of my life,” she recalls. “That’s when I tried out all my drugs, pretty much. Pot was my favorite, and I was getting high as a kid. One time I tried to quit. That was for about three months.” According to Cytherea, she also suffers bad stomach problems.

“I have a really hard time digesting my food- when I smoke weed it really helps my stomach digest properly where I don’t feel like crap and I’m not in the bathroom for hours on end. But when I have the stomach problems I just hurt and start crying because I hurt so much. And I also have the opposite reaction to things- anything that’s speedy I fall asleep on; anything that’s non-speedy, I’m very hyper. Weed doesn’t calm me so much as I can concentrate more. I can clean house. It’s really weird.”

In recent weeks, Cytherea’s sister was involved in a very serious automobile accident.

“Some guy hit her- it was crazy,” she says. “She had a concussion and passed out on a flight of stairs. But she’s doing alright now. She just went to court and got paid for all her lost days at work. She’s doing good now.”

Cytherea has been talking care of her mother ever since her and her father got a divorce.

“My dad’s a piece of shit and doesn’t take care of my mom,” she explains. “He gives her the measly $200 that the state allows my dad to give her. That’s not going to help my mom and she really works hard. So I just sent money to my mother. She’s been living in the trailer I was living in since I was three years old. Right now she’s got a rented house and is really happy. As soon as I can, I’m going to move my mother and my baby brother down here so they can live here.”

Cytherea has very little contact with her father.

“I’m not close to him at all,” she states. “I’ve talked to him since he got out of drug rehab. Other than that, no.

“He had been an alright guy,” she goes on to say. He was a Mexican and lived by Mexican ways, know what I mean? We got punished. It was mom who was always hurt. They had been married for years, and my dad cheated on her and did drugs. We moved to Idaho for awhile to get away from my dad. I had never seen my mom that hurt. She was highly depressed. That’s when I had to grow up and take care of my baby brother and my sister. It was bad. I had to take care of my mom, too. She had to go to work and I took care of the kids.

“And my dad was a piece of shit- he went to drug rehab and now he’s back and acting like a new born saint. But he’s not. He screwed up a lot of peoples’ lives. He’s an asshole. For him to judge me as a stripper- he shouldn’t.”

Cytherea said there was a time when she bonded with him and they were ostensibly close. She remembers how he tried to get his pilot’s license. Things seemed to be going okay until one of his buddies brought him a video that she was featured in.

“He’s, like, is this your daughter? I said, dad, you’re a reasonably intelligent man. I don’t think I have to say anything. Let’s just keep it at that.”

Even through the turmoil, would she consider herself a sucker for love and romance, she’s asked

“I think every little girl is,” Cytherea replies. “Every little girl wants to live a Barbie life.”

“The point I’m getting to, is, did the porn lifestyle change you at all to where you’re jaded?” I ask.

“No,” she replies. “I’m so adaptable to my environment if I like it, and I’ll be the first one to tell you if I don’t like it. I’m just naturally a slut. I’ve been a slut ever since I was a little girl. I was a very experienced virgin. I was the horniest virgin ever. I was just a dirty girl all the time- always with the short-shorts, always strutting. When I met Brian he showed me my first swinger club. I took to that like a fish to the water. This company Naughty Modeling asked me if I’d like to have sex for money. I never heard of such things. I never thought it would be a career! I had seen porn but I never thought about the people that made it. This was a real different world and I dig it. But I never really thought about it too much. It doesn’t need to be thought about too much. I love my career. I cannot think of me doing anything else.”

I’m curious about this feud that has developed between Cytherea and Flower Tucci.

“On your show you were slipping in all these comments about her being a cunt. Did you guys get along before?”

“It’s so funny,” says Cytherea. “When I first met Flower, I could see her jealousy. But I didn’t know. Squirting is squirting to me. That was my thing. I didn’t show up in the industry and do it. I did it before I was 18. She was cool with me- she was at my house, but I was always had a weird feeling about her. There’s only certain girls who are allowed in my room. But after awhile, my parties got ridiculous at my house- 200 people! I couldn’t handle it: Cytherea! Cytherea! I would spend time in my room, chill and veg. That’s my thing. And only certain girls were allowed in my room and she wasn’t. I just never trusted her. Other girls I could trust with everything in my room but she wasn’t allowed in there. But I had never said any mean things about her. I never had to and she just started out with this.

“How can KSEX be rigged?” Cytherea asks. “I kicked her ass. That’s all there is to it. But I think the real point is my career is going a lot better than hers. I’m getting irritated about the catty things with these girls. We’re not in junior high any more. Grow up- this is the adult world. I’m done and irritated with the whole Flower Tucci-thing. It’s come down to one point. I’ve done better in my career than she has. And she has to make my life just as miserable. I have never once said anything bad about her during this whole thing other than call her a bitch. But she deserves it. I don’t think her squirting’s fake- I won’t lower myself down to those standards.

“The other day I read [on Adultfyi] her saying that I would never be in her league. Everybody laughed at that. She’s just a dumb hooker. Of course she’ll never be in my league. I’m way past her league. I won Best New Starlet. She’s never won any awards that I know of. But I guarantee you, she’s never won Best New Starlet. And I won that not because people rigged it. I worked my fucking ass off for that award, and I’m glad that I won it. I think any girl who won it, did the same.

“The girls with the big companies also work their ass off, but the big companies also help a lot and pay a lot,” Cytherea adds. “I’m not stupid. But you know something? It’s really not that hard because you love every fucking second of it. I love my job. I love being a porn star. I love my fans. I love my life- my life is wonderful. We’re a porn family. This is one big soap opera.”
