Porn Valley- Leah Jaye and I had this chat a little while ago. She’s good buddies with Cleopatra and that’s how we connected.
“I love her,” says Jaye. “There’s very few real people in this industry that are just kind, generous and sweet, down to earth and willing to help other people. She’s one of those.”
Jaye has a British accent but the good thing about it is, you don’t need a translator.
“Apart from a couple of words everyone can understand me,” she laughs. Jaye is with Gold Star Modeling and was doing “soft” girl-girl for a while then started doing boy-girl scenes maybe a year and a half ago. I talked to Jaye about the time she had left LA Direct and moved on. Jaye concedes she was getting a lot of work out of that agency.
“But I’d rather work where I can pay my rent,” she laughs. “Derek was the devil in disguise. He would just blow up at me randomly for just stupid things. I couldn’t deal with that.” Yet all of the girls that Jaye knew from England would gravitate to LA Direct because the agency knows how to deal with the foreign performer issues.
“So that seemed like the natural choice,” says Jaye. “I knew all about him before I even got on the plane here! He was everything I expected and more.”
Explaining how she got into the business, Jaye notes that in England you’re allowed to model topless from the time you’re 16.
“I had been doing that,” she says. “Then I did adult TV shows in England- like soft girl-girl. I did that for a long time. That’s how I’m known in England. I also did some hardcore in England but that was the worst thing I ever did. That’s because they didn’t pay me right. I enjoyed doing it but the company wasn’t very professional. Then Rio Mariah was, I’ve got this company that wants to book you. I said, no. I don’t want to do boy-girl. She was, like, please.”
Jaye said there was one company she worked for where things turned out pretty good.
“But over there it’s pretty much shit because these companies are very amateur. And there’s very few people to work for.”
Jaye came over here maybe five months ago.
“There’s more companies and more variety over here,” she points out. In one of the first scenes she did over here, Jaye worked with Sammi Rhodes.
“She’s fuckin’ brilliant,” says Jaye. “And Blue Moon is really cool to work for.” Christian was also the first male performer that Jaye worked with.
“That was for Naughty America- that was one of my best scenes. Then another performer comes to mind- Manuel Ferrara- but everyone says that. And then I did a really good scene with TJ Cummings for Adam & Eve.”
Jaye thinks her sexuality has changed completely since she came to America.
“I’m more hardcore than I thought I’d ever be,” she states. “But I’ve never been a goody two-shoes. This is going to sound really awful but the people here can fuck better than they can in England. So that makes you a better fuck when everyone around you knows exactly what they’re doing. Then you become better.”
Jaye also discovered that not only can she now cum on camera but multiple times.
“I can cum in a second where I could never do that before,” she notes. “And now I have an obsession with being choked. Everyone is obsessed with that over here.”
At that time I spoke to her, Jaye had done one anal scene [for Chico Wang].
“I tried it over there and did three scenes- it went okay- but it’s not my favorite thing to do. I didn’t want to look like I wasn’t liking it so I stopped doing it.”
“Well you must have laughed your ass off when you worked for Chico,” I tell Jaye.
“Yeah, he’s cool,” says Jaye who worked in that scene with James Deen. “And Mr. Pete- I like working with him- he’s brilliant.”
Jaye kept laughing because all during the interview she continually spazzed out and wasn’t able to come up with answers to elementary questions. She didn’t know why.
“Maybe it’s all the damn drugs you’re taking,” I suggest.
“Oh yeah, it has to be that,” she laughs. “If you call caffein a drug.”
Asked if she was a partyer, Jaye said when she first joined LA Direct it was almost mandatory.
“I would be going out all the time but since I moved out, I’m not at all.” For relaxation, Jaye goes shopping.
“That’s part of the problem,” I tell her. “If you spent less money you wouldn’t have to worry about paying your rent as much.”
“I’ve been good the past month,” she insists. “My spending habits have gotten better since I’ve been here. In England I had a major spending problem.”
Because a lot of the girls from LA Direct would move over to Gold Star, Jaye did the same.
“In all the producers’ opinions and all the girls’ opinions everyone was, like, yeah go to Gold Star,” says Jaye. “And Cleopatra had said the same thing. I did.”
I was curious what Jaye was like growing up and she pretty much didn’t have that opportunity. She began stripping at the age of 13.
“I looked about 19 or 20,” she says. “They never asked me for an ID until I was 17- honestly. They’d ask me in passing and I’d say I’ll bring it tomorrow but I never did. Then when I was 17 I got a fake one. I couldn’t believe how long I got away with it.”
“Mentally, how did you handle that at the age of 13?”
“There was two things I used to watch on TV,” she answers. “From the age of 8 onwards I would watch shows about strippers. I thought that was the most glamorous thing in the world. I would think I want to do that kind of thing. Most people want to be Mariah Carey when they grow up, I wanted to be a stripper. And then when I saw porn, I imagined myself living out in LA doing that. Then I’d get involved in relationships but it really wasn’t going that way.”
The first time she had sex was at the age of 12.
“My first sexual experience, I met this guy in the mall,” she relates. “I had seen him around and he hung out for a few weeks. He was, I want to go down on you. I said, okay. We went to a park and he went down on me for a second. Then he tried some sex on me but I was so tight, it wasn’t going to happen. That was that. Then about two weeks after that I ran away from my mom. We had a big argument. I ran away and met a guy. He was an American. He told me he was a rapper on a holiday.
“I always had this thing about American guys,” Jaye confesses. “He was, like, maybe we should hook up sometime. I was let’s do it now. Let’s hook up now. We went to his cousin’s apartment or something.
“And we did it- it fucking hurt like hell and to this day I swear he’s one of the biggest guys I ever had sex with. I guess he kind of guessed when I took my pants off that I was really tight. He’s you’re not a virgin are you? I was, no. I had sex once before. He didn’t know I was 12. I could pass easily for 17.”
Jaye says this is the only guy she’s ever been obsessed with.
“We had a big argument- I got his girlfriend’s number some how and called her. I said he asked me to marry him. I didn’t know this but they get married the day before and I kind of ruined their marriage. Then we had a fight in the street. Then a couple of years later I had sex with him again. Randomly.”
Asked where she first met the American guy, Jaye says it was a mall.
“We got to keep you out of malls,” I tell her.
“I really need to not go there,” she agrees.
Jaye says she hasn’t heard from the guy since.
“I think he was giving you a rapper bullshit story just to get into your young, tight 12 year-old pants.”
“Probably,” she laughs.
