Conversations with Sammie Rhodes-update

Porn valley- Sammie Rhodes hails from Boston and has been in the adult industry about two months. I meet Rhodes on the set of Uniform Babes for DVXS, www.dvsx.com where she’ll be playing a nurse.

Gene: I’m going to ask you a whole bunch of dumb questions.

SR: I’m really not good at answering real questions because my life is really boring.

Gene: Why is that?

SR: A lot of people expect me to have crazy sex stories and erotic this and that.

Gene: No crazy sex stories yet?

SR: No

Gene: How long have you been in the business.

SR: About two months now.

Gene: You’ll have a few.

SR: Out of the industry, no.

Gene: What made you decide to come into this business?

SR: Oh God, I was mainstream modeling. But I stopped doing that because the owner of the company was a genius- fraudulent man. I became good friends with him and he totally screwed me.

Gene: That’s a good story!

SR: So he went to jail.

Gene: Even better. What for?

SR: He’d do fashion shows for charities and never give the money.

Gene: A minor detail.

SR: It was all messed up. He’d pick me up in limos everywhere. I thought it was legit. He got me jobs. I got paid. Every time we went out it was limo this. Like free treatment, everything. Sweet. We he goes to jail so I’m like fuck this. No more.

Gene: Was this a well known modeling agency?

SR: Yeah. They got me a job with The M Group in New York City which is pretty big. I did a fashion show for them.

Gene: Where was the agency out of?

SR: New Haven, Connecticut. I live in Boston now but I’m from Connecticut. So another guy called me and I was like I’m not doing any more modeling. I don’t trust anyone. Then this guy e-mailed me. He got a hold of my portfolio from my original agency. He’s saying why don’t you work for me that we also do other stuff. He’s telling me other things that I might be possibly interested in. So I started doing nude photography. I met another girl in my agency who was real cool. So I’m like I guess I’ll try a girl-girl with her. I was nervous as hell and kind of fucked it up. They needed a boy-girl. I went out to Miami and did that. Then I came out here. And my life is now this way. LOL.

Gene: You’re from Boston, now are you going to commute?

SR: This is the first time I’ve been out here. I’m leaving the 28th. Then I’m going back to pack up my stuff, get my dog then come back out here and buy a house. There’s no opportunity in Boston as much as my agent would like to think there is. It’s kind of a joke. You do these little fetish gigs for the Internet for $300 to $400. You’ve got to drive two hours and it’s not worth my time. It’s crap.

Gene: What was your first sex scene like?

SR: It was a girl-girl. It was for Girlfriends Productions. This guy Dan from L.A. came down to Providence and shot us. It was me and my girlfriend from the agency. It was awkward. But once I’m being taped I can get into it. It was more of a passionate thing than hardcore so it was easy.

Gene: How about your first boy-girl scene?

SR: Who was my first boy-girl scene? I think it was in Miami. It was nerve wracking. But once you get into it it was fun.

Gene: What were you particularly nervous about?

SR: It was different. I’ve only been in long term relationships and stuff like that. You never know what to expect or what the guy’s going to be like.

Gene: Remember who the guy I was.

SR: Someone in Florida. It was this kid Danny for Bang Bros. It was really laid back.

Gene: What were you like growing up?

SR: I started blossoming pretty much in the seventh grade. I was the life of the party crazy. I always wanted to get something going. I was very social and outgoing. I wlays had quite a bit of wildness in me.

Gene: How about the first time having sex.

SR: I was 16. Older guy. He was 23. I was running with a bunch of older people. We met at these parties. He got a new car and conveniently said come check my new car. We hung out one day before work. We had a few shots and that’s how ity happened.

Gene: You said you had a lot of long term relationships. That didn’t sound like one of them.

SR: I started dating this guy when I was a freshman and we were on and off for five years. Then another guy I was on and off for 2 1/2 years. I just broke up with him.

Gene: What was it about this 23 year old guy that made you decide you were going to do it with him.

SR: I was young and I didn’t give a shit. And everyone else in my school had. It happened.

Gene: Do you like to have sex in offbeat places?

SR: Not really. It makes me too nervous.

Gene: You don’t like the danger of being caught?

SR: I’d be mortified of being caught. I never did anything too outlandish.

Gene: You say your first sex scene was a girl-girl scene. In your life off camera when was your first time with a woman.

SR: It wasn’t like that. It was a good girlfriend, you go out drinking and shit happens. I used to bar tend next to a strip club and would go to the strip club every night. My girlfriend came and we had too many drinks. We started making out and ended up on the floor and got thrown out because we took the attention away from the other strippers. That happened and there was an incident with another girlfriend. Nothing serious. We were drunk.

Gene: What got you into modeling originally.

SR: I was bartending in New Haven and one of the other bartenders were doing sales for the company. They said you should meet with the president of the company. He signed me as soon as I went in there.

Gene: What was the nude modeling like taking off your clothes in front of a camera for the first time?

SR: It was very very strange. It was awkward and self-conscious. I kept running into the bathroom to change even though they saw me nude. It was nerve-wracking but I’m used to it now.

Gene: You came into this business about the time the whole HIV scare was developing. What was going through your mind. Did that scare you?

SR: I wasn’ t aware of it because I was in Boston. I never really thought about doing this business. Then I started hearing about it from my East Coast agent. He was telling me we want you to go out to L.A. but they weren’t shooting until June 8th. Then they moved the date back. It was scary as hell when I went to AIM for the first time. Even though I knew that I was completely safe, just thinking about possibly having the virus freaked me out. I was crying and lost it even though I knew there was no chance that I had it. It scared me. It really did. But being out here and working every day in such a short amount of time is great.

Gene: How do you like the business so far?

SR: There’s good things and there’s bad things.

Gene: What are some of the bad things?

SR: If you’re having a bad day and are stressed out the last thing you want to do is go have sex with someone. And you never know how the guy’s going to be. I worked with one guy who had no mercy on me, oh, you’ll get used to it! I was crying in pain and screaming. he’s like oh you’ll get used to it.

Gene: Did you want to clobber him.

SR: I couldn’t talk for the rest of the day. I was so in shock from what happened. It was a bad feeling. But everyone else I’ve worked with has been really respectful and nice and understanding.

Gene: So did you get used to it?

SR: Not with someone acting like he was.

Gene: You’ll run into some guys who are just total assholes.

SR: Right. But my agent’s real good and he makes sure that I get work with the best people.

Gene: Who’s your agent?

SR: Scoobie from Fresh Talent.

Gene: Any other drama besides that one experience.

SR: I get anxious about a lot of things and work things up more than I should. But I’ll never cancel a shoot because that’s my rep on the line.

Gene: What do you like; what do you not like.

SR: I’m mortified of anal. I will not do it.

Gene: have you ever tried it?

SR: In my personal life like once and I hated it.

Gene: Mission accomplished or did the sphincter say no.

SR: It was just too painful. I know a lot of people in the industry are, like, you just don’t know how to do it. It takes practice. I’m, like, I’m still not going to do it. Then once I was on a set doing a boy-girl-girl scene. She was doing anal and it was not a pretty site from what was going on. Then I’ve heard horror stories from other girls in the agency.

Gene: I’m sure as you get around the business there’s going to be a lot of pressure put upon you.

SR: There already is. They’ve been trying to justify why I should do it. Like the first day I got here and started going around, I had one guy on my ass and he totally freaked me out. I was so shaken up by it. He made me feel like crap and useless. He was, like, we’re not going to hire you, but he hired me. LOL.

Gene: Anyone soliciting blowjobs to hie you.

SR: No. No. I’m very professional on the set. I just do what I’m supposed to do and that’s it. I try to be as business like as I can. I try to do a great scene and do what I’m supposed to do, but beyond that…nothing else.
