Cop fired for using ex-lover’s credit card to send her porn movies, blow up doll wants job back

from www.nydailynews.com – An ex-cop fired for using an ex-lover’s credit card to send her unwanted porn movies, lingerie and a blowup doll is suing to get his job back.

Mario Buonviaggio, 42, was canned in January after pleading guilty to the raunchy stunt during a departmental trial.

But in a Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit, the ex-sergeant contends the “conscience-shocking” penalty left him without insurance as he faces spinal-fusion surgery for a line-of-duty injury.

“I’d like to see the Police Department have a heart and do right by this officer,” said his lawyer, Rae Koshetz.

Buonviaggio, who joined the NYPD in 1993, admitted he used his cop gal pal’s credit card and checking account to send her filthy packages in 2005.

“It was sophomoric stuff,” Koshetz said. “It was a lovers’ quarrel type of thing, and he showed poor judgment.”

The suit says Buonviaggio, a former undercover narcotics detective, has “constant pain” in his back, feet and left hand and leg from injuries he suffered while “protecting the public.”
