I spoke to Dennis Hof immediately after his KSEX interview on Dee and The Fatmen Thursday night. We covered enough ground that may require two postings. But here’s how it went. Hof is merely saying that if you have comments to make about him, be it his alleged beating up of Sunset Thomas, then confront him with it.
“Put it out in the open,” he challenges. “Tell the world; and if I’m not [doing that] then defend me and say these people are doing a smear campaign against me and here’s the reason why.” Hof charges ex employees porn Steve Seidman and Kent Wallace with conducting such a smear campaign.
Hof said one of the girls at the Bunny Ranch has a restraining order on Wallace. It was also brought up on the show, Hof notes, that Seidman has a prison record. “Don’t you think these people would have a vendetta against me?” Hof asks. Hof is quick to point out a number of times that he’s been the one there for Sunset Thomas.
Hof: “I defended her. I’m the one who kept her old man from doing all the things that he trying to do to her, He kidnapped those children from her and I’m the one who spent the 40 or 50 grand to fix it, get this guy in court and beat him up. Would I change all that right now? No way. All she had to do was leave, go to Vegas; stay up here. I told her she could stay up here, stay in that house if she wanted to, if she wanted to stay up here and work at The Bunny Ranch. But she hasn’t been working. She doesn’t want to work. She said she’s too much in love with me to work.
“That’s great, then don’t work. I don’t care. I can afford you. You’re in the sex industry because you want to be in the limelight and if you don’t want to be, stay home. I can do that. My last girlfriend that I split up with before I met Sunset- I still support. She’s going to college in Texas and living the life she wants to lead because I support her. When I die, she gets a million bucks and Sunset would have been the same way. I would have supported her in any venture she wanted. I would have given her money. I would have done anything. And when I die, guess what? I’d have given her a million. Because she spent that time with me, and I was her friend. That’s what I would have done for her. It’s so sad to see this happen. If you ask her, she’ll tell you.
“The only person that’s ever been a real friend to her in her life without expecting something in return is Dennis Hof. I stepped up to the plate. I can’t believe that Sunset is saying these things. Her feelings might be hurt but these people are dreaming this stuff up. If I beat her or if I hit her, where’s the police report? Some of my friends in the business have asked me what are you wasting your time for? And I’ll tell you why. Because if one person says something to me that’s a lie or untrue, to make me look bad I’ve got to defend myself.”
Hof is saying that he passed up a big real estate meeting with county commissioners to make a special trip to be on KSEX to answer those charges.
Hof: “When I heard that Johnny Buss was coming down to defend me and he’s that much of a friend, then, guess what, I need to do it myself. I can’t let Johnny fight my battles. But you can’t just let people take shots at you for no reason or for financial gain. If you have a business and I have a business, let’s go for it. Let’s be good competitors. I don’t need to put you down to be successful. You don’t need to put me down. We don’t need that to be good competitors. But that’s what these people are trying to do. The owner [of the Kit Kat] has reason. I went to buy the place. Look in to him. Get his name. Run his records.
“Find out about him. Find out what restaurant he used to run in Phoenix and if a mob ran it. Kent Wallace- this guy who came to work for me- no car, no cell phone, no place to live. No money. I hired him and put to work. I gave him a place to work out of. And he did some bad things. Friday I meet with Al Gelbard and a Nevada attorney. And we have a long talk about Kent Wallace. How are we proceeding? Is it criminally or is it civilly? There’s advantages to both. The disadvantage to criminally, which needs to happen, is that once you start the criminal, you can’t do the civil. We have to decide. I’m going after this guy. He’s done bad things to me.
“And Steve Seidman won’t admit it. When I came to him and sat him down I said, Steve, tell me about your record. I’m amazed. Someone snitched him off. The same one who snitched Kent off. He told me and I aid we got to end this. I cannot have you around here. Not that people who have been in prison don’t change because they’re not good people. But when you are in the sex business, and are on the top of the game here, I can’t be surrounded by people who have had drug charges and sex charges.
“Then they took this poor girl and went after her like vultures and twisted her poor head around. Whatever Sunset is, she’s a nice girl and I’ll never say she isn’t. She’s not the girl for me and I saw it. And I didn’t want to continue on with it. But I do want to be her friend. I would have supported anything she wanted done. I would have used the Bunny Ranch media machine to support her career just like I built it back up. Anything she wanted.
“If I die today and get hit by a car, Sunset’s worth 10 to 12 million dollars. Is this a guy who cares about somebody? You don’t go from that position with somebody to hating them, unless they give you a reason.”
Hof says that every girl he’s ever been with or married to, he’s taking care of. “I can afford to do that.” Hof says he will not sabotage Thomas’ career in any way but if asked about her and why they’re not together, he’ll be honest about that, too.
Hof suspects that it was Steve Banan who alerted Seidman ahead of time that Hof would be at KSEX. “Somehow he knew what my goal was. My goal was to let him [Seidman] puke and say all these badthings in a public medium and then go after him but he wouldn’t answer any questions.”
Hof admits he was at fault in the situation, that when it first arose he let it go thinking it was going to go away. “But it didn’t. The best defense is a good offense. And I’ll be on the offensive with these people and just pray to God that Sunset will come to her senses and realize these people are using her to get even with me. They don’t acer about her. This guy Kent and his girlfriend [Caressa Kisses] – they hate her. They never liked her.”
