Columbus, Ohio- An adult film star was busted last week for prostitution at a high-end hotel. And Columbus Police say there’s more where she came from.
Police have charged eight women in a high-price prostitution sweep. Most of the women rented rooms at four-star hotels in downtown Columbus to meet up clients.
They posted online ads are for escort services. But police say they are prostitutes on tour, headlining in Columbus for three-day stopovers.
“One of the women that we arrested admitted that she had sex with 15 men over a two day period,” an unidentified vice officer said.
At $300 or more per visit, you’re talking big money. And some women were charging a lot more than that.
“We did find one girl was charging $950 for sex. And the reason she was charging so much is she is a porno star,” police said. Police charged adult film star Diamond Foxx with soliciting and prostitution, along with seven other women.
Detectives say the women rented rooms at expensive hotels like the Great Southern and the Hyatt on Capital Square. Police say the women were discreet and virtually undetectable until undercover detectives found and responded to the Internet ads.
Investigators now want to go after the digital pimps behind the Web site. But investigators say none of the women are talking.
“All the girls are coached well in advance not to talk to the police. Nobody told us who was responsible behind the operations.”
Prostitution and soliciting are only misdemeanor charges. So police say they believe it’s only a matter of time before the women are back in business and back in Columbus.
