Did Jacko Ply the Kid with Liquor?

Adultfyi.com: Mainstream papers are just like adult news sites. Some tend to give better more substantive accounts than others. The following from the N.Y. Post is the meatier, more lurid version of the Jacko complaints.

Los Angeles- Bizarro King of Pop Michael Jackson was slapped with nine charges yesterday – seven accusing him of performing lewd acts on a boy and two accusing him of plying the youngster with liquor to make it easier to molest him.’

But before Wacko Jacko is arraigned on those charges – which could put him behind bars for more than 20 years – the superstar, who’s free on $3 million bail, will be taking off for England to promote his new “Number Ones” CD.

A criminal complaint filed in Santa Maria, Calif. – near Jackson’s Neverland Ranch – accused the ex-wunderkind of five counts of committing lewd acts on a boy under 14 between Feb. 7 and March 10 of this year.

Two other counts charge Jackson with lewd acts and two with administering an intoxicating agent. He committed those crimes between Feb. 20 and March 10, the complaint said.

Counts one to seven say Jackson had “substantial sexual conduct” with the boy. Legal experts said the California penal code defines that as masturbation, oral sex or anal sex.

The boy was identified only as “John Doe.” He is believed to be a 14-year-old cancer patient.

Jackson’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, denounced the charges, calling them “categorically untrue” and vowing that Jackson will fight them “with every fiber of his soul.”

“What we have here is an intersection between a shakedown – someone who is looking for money – with somebody doing an investigation who has an ax to grind,” the lawyer said.

Geragos was referring to Santa Barbara District Attorney Tom Sneddon, who lost a bid to jail Jackson on child-molestation charges 10 years ago because the case was settled for an estimated $20 million.

“Michael is innocent,” his mother, Katherine, said in a statement. “We proudly stand by Michael, who we know could never commit any of the acts he is accused of.”

At a news conference, Sneddon dismissed a Los Angeles County child-welfare agency memo that cleared Jackson of molestation charges involving the boy in the current case.

“It was an interview, not an investigation,” the DA insisted.

He added that the judge who issued the warrant to have Jackson arrested last month, and have his ranch searched, was aware of the memo.

“It’s L.A.,” Sneddon said, adding, “It’s a big place with lots of problems.”

Each of the felony counts filed against Jackson carries potential prison time of three, six or eight years, but officials said it’s unlikely he’d be sentenced to more than 20 years if convicted.

Jackson’s arraignment is set for Jan. 16, 10 days after his scheduled return from England.

Sneddon said Jackson’s passport, confiscated after his arrest last month, will be returned to him for the trip. He will be required to surrender it when he returns to the States.

Dana Cole, a prominent Los Angeles defense lawyer, said the charges will force social workers to interview Jackson’s three children to make sure they’re not at risk.

“They have no choice but to move swiftly, or they’d be derelict in their responsibilities,” he said.
