Porn Valley- The murky details of the Chasey Lain story got even murkier when Amber Lynn revealed facts Monday night of death threats coming into KSEX if it continued reporting on the Chasey story.
Lynn reported that last week after her KSEX show there was “a huge cluster fuck of information” regarding Lain and her AVN-reported o.d.’ing.
“There was a bunch of people that came in with a story about a leading actress in our industry and I did some work on it,” she said. Lynn went on to explain that the story was about Chasey Lain. “She’s a huge story in our industry- one of the biggest stars ever. She was a Vivid girl for a long time and now she’s broken free from Vivid and has a new contract with a new company.”
Lynn said the story came in various pieces. “There was a story on the board at AVN that Chasey Lain had o.d.’d when she was in Vegas. “Allegedly.” Lisa the Lesbian broke in to say that she was told Lain “allegedly” had a Digital Playground pass on her. “Which sort of identified her as being in the adult industry.” Lisa also reported that the only person they could get a hold of to identify Lain was Seymore Butts. “The badge said Chasey Lain and Digital Playground.”
Lynn wanted to know where the badge was. “Was it on her when she o.d.’d?” Lisa said it was. “It said Chasey Lain but they don’t know how she got it because they never approved a badge for her; they never came in contact with her,” Lisa said. Lynn said that’s not what she heard. “I heard that the badge said a name, that the first name was like Chasey’s real first name. The badge said her real first name and another last name [Case]. They thought it was Chasey because of the nature of the o.d.”
[For the record, the Chasey aka name reported on various websites was incorrect.]
As Lisa told it, Seymore Butts identified Lain as Chasey Lain. “He did. He went and saw the girl and identified her as Chasey Lain in the hospital. From there it got around and the reason she was found was because of the badge and Seymore was the only person they could find.”
Amber said she had to laugh about the death threats. “I grew up like in the bario. I’ve got brothers who are the most criminal-minded people. Okay, so who is it that’s threatening my life- is it one of me exes? Is it somebody I’ve had sex with? Is it somebody in her camp? I’m not sure. But this is a news station and we’re going to reveal the news as truthfully as possible.”
Having had her own issues with drugs, Amber, citing a number of parallels between her and Chasey, said her first inclination upon hearing the story was ask what could she do to help the girl. “A similar situation happened with me years ago and I’ve been clean and sober for years.” Lynn said there was no one in her corner at the time and people started throwing rocks. “There’s nothing worse than when you’re down on your knees and someone starts kicking you.” Lynn also said she wanted to be as sure as she could possibly be with the Chasey story since there were a lot of legs to it. “They said she had a child that had been abandoned while she was in the hospital.” Lisa said she had heard that Chasey had a child that was abandoned early on when her drug habit was really bad. “Allegedly.”
Lisa said that she had been on a set a year and a half ago where Chasey was hired for a series of films. “She showed up and I felt so horrible because she looked so emaciated, and thin- just skin and bones. She looked hungry, and not happy and not in a good place.” Lisa reported that Chasey was fired but, nonetheless, showed up the next day not realizing she had been fired.
Lynn went on to say that she had tracked down Chasey’s best friend but wasn’t going to reveal her name even though she was given permission. Lynn said she was trying to verify with the friend some simple family-type facts. According to Lynn, the girlfriend told her that Chasey was on her way there, that she hadn’t been in the hospital. ‘I don’t know what you’re talking about- my God, this must be her ex-boyfriend, the father of her child, who’s doing this to extort money out of her.’
One of the facts, according to the girlfriend, is that Chasey Lain’s child is not by Jay, Jenna Jameson’s husband, and that the child had been removed from Chasey’s care. “It’s her child with another guy who she’s had some kind of a bad breakup with and the guy maybe trying to harass her, extort money out of her. There’s something going on between them.” Lynn said the guy was not in the industry, that Chasey met him in Vegas and that’s his little boy.
Lynn claims that Lain then got on the phone with her. Lynn told her if she wants to party it was none of her business. But that if she wanted to quit but didn’t know who to turn to, then it was her business. According to Lynn, Chasey told her that there was a zero-tolerance law in Las Vegas and that when you’re brought to the hospital on an o.d., they call the police. Lynn confirmed what Lain was saying, noting that she had spent some time in jail on a similar situation. “That’s how I got sober.”
Lynn, who was in denial for many years, said the whole situation scared her to death and that’s how she got her shit together. Lynn said she spent four days in jail. Lynn then re-tracked the alleged Chasey time line that she supposedly o.d.’d Saturday night. “She was in a coma, could not say her own name or identify her ownself. And by Monday night at 7pm she sounded fine.” It was then that Lynn invited Chasey to come on KSEX.
Amber said the different counts of the Lain story start colliding. “But they’re similar. Her badge said, ‘Digital Underground-Pleasure Productions- Chasey Lain’. That’s what she told me. She was there doing a promo with the band Digital Underground. She was with them on Saturday night and that they could testify.” According to what Lain was telling her, Lynn said Chasey’s lawyer was preparing paperwork.
“I guess because she has a big problem with AVN because they falsely accused her of a criminal act. Because o.d’ing and being under the influence is a criminal act and you cannot just go around accusing somebody of something they didn’t do; and even if she did o.d., because there’s no record and there’s no arrest, they can get in big trouble.”
Lynn then recapped the AVN story which linked Chasey to heroin, methamphetamines and hypodermic needles. The story said Lain was carrying them at the time when she was admitted.
“They hit the jackpot, didn’t they?” Lisa observed. Lynn questioned where the pieces of the story came from. Lisa noted that there were no sources revealed. “They have to have a solid background to support all this. They’re not reporting the facts and who can believe what is happening.”
Lynn also observed in her attempts to gather facts that people were throwing anything at her. “Ninety percent of what was thrown at me for research wound up not being true once she [Chasey] was on the phone. Now whether it was because Chasey was lying or it was because they had been given information that you go along and you just collect things that are being said to you when you take them as true. You really have to weigh and be non-judgmental and see what’s going on in the end. And the jury is still out on this.”
According to Lynn, Chasey was advised by her lawyer not to do radio shows or public appearances.
