Las Vegas- from www.people.com – Hands shackled and wearing a blue jumpsuit, the man accused of killing a Las Vegas showgirl and dismembering her body appeared stoic as he faced a Las Vegas judge Wednesday morning.
At his arraignment, Jason “Blu” Griffith, 32, calmly answered “yes” when Judge Chris Lee asked if he understood the charges against him – murder, domestic violence and destruction of evidence in the death of Debbie Flores Narvaez.
Celeste Flores Narvaez, the victim’s sister who made several high-profile pleas during the nearly month-long search for any sign of Debbie, was present in the courtroom, never taking her eyes off of Griffith before yelling at him from her seat.
“I hope you [expletive] rot in hell for what you did to her. I hope you rot in hell,” she shouted before leaving the courtroom in tears.
The court hearing marked the first time Griffith has been seen since being arrested last weekend for his alleged involvement in the death of the Las Vegas stage dancer, 31, whose body was found dismembered in cement-filled tubs.
The official cause of death was by way of strangulation, according to an autopsy report. A preliminary hearing was set for Feb. 15.
