Disruptive Films announced the release of "Ovum," the first installment of its feature film "The Hive," on June 26, 2026. The release was reported by Tom Grayson from Las Vegas at 4:10 PM PDT. The film is currently streaming on ASGMax.

Micah Martinez wrote and directed "The Hive." The cast includes Andrew Delta, Carter Woods, Trevor Harris, Justin Matthews, Jay Wu, Ty Santana, and Colt Spence. A representative for the feature stated that it "explores a wellness retreat that isn’t quite what it seems."

The first chapter, "Ovum," depicts Trevor and Andrew preparing for a wellness retreat. Carter expresses disapproval of their plans. Andrew, while potentially sharing some of Carter's reservations, intends to support Trevor and accompany him. The chapter also includes a "sexy going away present" from Andrew's boyfriend.

Martinez commented on the project, stating that "the cult concept came to me very quickly." Martinez further described the idea as "a community where members are tormented and controlled by having their personal pains used against them," calling it "just the right kind of twisted."
