Ducati Productions Sues Venetian Hotel

Woodland Hills – Ducati Productions has filed a lawsuit against the Venetian Hotel. The claim seeks damages for negligence from unauthorized entry to the suite of Kevin Ducati which allowed for the theft of a large sum of cash from the room.

While Ducati was attending the 2007 AVN awards at Mandalay Bay, Venetian staff allowed unauthorized entry to Ducati’s suite by an intoxicated person that was not a registered guest of the hotel, all within hours of a security threat being reported and all access to the suite disabled even to Ducati.

After arriving back to the hotel Ducati met with hotel security to re-gain access to the suite only to find the door propped open by the door hasp. It was soon discovered that several items and a large amount of cash were missing from the room. After further investigation it was revealed that someone had presented the front desk a bent up key card claiming it was their room and couldn’t get in and was allowed entry by hotel staff.

“I was the only registered guest of the suite,” says Kevin Ducati.

“No one should have ever been allowed entry to my room at any time including maid service which was specifically denied unless I was in the room.

“The Venetian made no denial that they allowed unauthorized entry to my suite even after I had reported a security threat, yet they were completely and utterly uncooperative in resolving anything. They made it very clear they were not going to do anything about it and offered no restitution of any kind. They could have easily comp’d my stay but refused to do anything.”

According to Ducati, aside from the hotel admitting it allowed entry to the suite, there is undisputable evidence of what took place including recordings of the entire exchange with hotel staff and an obviously intoxicated person trying to gain access to the suite.
