Peru- 18-year-old Johana Nakano has not had much time to enjoy her nomination as Miss Chiclayo.

She was chosen as the city’s beauty queen on Saturday and was placed under investigation a few days later.

When an erotic video of her was posted on the internet, authorities began to question her reign as a representative of the northern coastal city.

It was reported that the video was placed on the internet by her boyfriend after the couple had a fight.

The mayor of the city, Roberto Torres, was one of the first to propose to have the beauty queen stripped of her crown, stating that her acts on the video violated moral codes agreed to when entering the contest.

He stated she could not represent the city and that María del Pilar García, the runner-up, would replace Nakano.

When informed of this, Nakano refused to turn over the crown assuring this could only be taken from her by the pageant’s supervisory board.

A panel of judges is to convene on Thursday to decide the beauty queen’s fate.

The Municipality of Chiclayo has stated that the panel of judges has the authority and final word on whether Nakano will have the right to reign as the city’s beauty queen or not.
