EvolutionErotica’s Guy Capo Featured on The Wanker Show

SAN FERNANDO VALLEY, CA – EvolutionErotica director Guy Capo along with his wife Karen were guests of the Wanker Show on KSEX Monday night. Capo had made a previous appearance on the station once before when he guested with Tim Case and Felicia Fox. Capo and his wife, like Case and Felicia, are also from Dayton, Ohio.

Wankus confessed that up until recently he had been Capo-ignorant, not necessarily being a porn aficionado and only in the business about three years himself.

“I never really pay attention to behind-the-scenes and I’m just being honest up front,” Wankus told him, on the word that Capo’s work has been pretty fantastic. Wankus and Capo then traded Bronx-Queens reminiscences. Capo said his family moved out of the Bronx to the Midwest in the mid Seventies. Wankus asked Capo if he was the kind of guy who drove an Impala, got in fights with his girl and kicked her out of the car only to relent half a block down. Capo said almost but not quite, that he drove a Crown Vic but the scenarios were pretty much the same. “In the Bronx we drove the Crown Vic,” he noted. “Other than that you pretty much right on the money.” Capo said the dramas would usually ensue around the Triborough Bridge.

Asked how he and his wife met, Capo said in a bar, before he was in the business. “I was not involved in the adult industry until I came out here in March.” Wankus noted some of Capo’s resume which includes mainstream acting, producing, directing and music videos. “I started out doing improv comedy and a lot of live theater,” Capo added. “I was doing music videos for a little while for up and coming guys who needed promotional material to get a break. But in the back of my mind, the wheels were always spinning that I knew this is what I wanted to do.” Capo said a large part of his reason for getting into the business is that he couldn’t find “the kind of filth” he wanted to see. Asked what it was like working for Tom Byron, Capo said, “Absolutely fabulous. He’s such an innovative guy. You give him two minutes and two tokes and Tommy will find a new way to put a spin on erotica. I love working with him.”

Wankus noted that Capo’s work is being well received because it’s truly on-the-edge. Capo said American Gunk, which he shot earlier this year, was his take on the gonzo genre. “It’s politically driven. It’s basically a protest film that uses sex as the platform. Very music video-style, MTV generation, short attention span kind of market.” As for Sex, Drugs and Rock N’ Roll, Capo explained that it was his twist on the feature market. “It’s tough striking a balance between set up and dialogue and sex,” he noted. “You know what everyone wants to get to, but you want to provide them with the whole package, and make it interesting and fun to watch.” According to Capo, it just hit the street about ten days ago and he’s waiting to get some feedback on it. “But I love it. I’m more excited by that one than I was with my first film.”

For his part, Wankus said he’s the kind of viewer who needs to bust his nut real quick and wondered whether Capo’s films inspired viewers to stick around a little longer. Capo said he’s hoping they do but not offended if they don’t. “I realize that a large majority of viewers out there need something before they go back to work; they’ve got to sponge one out, and you’re probably not going to grab a Guy Capo film for that.” On the other hand, for people like himself who want entertainment out of their porn dollar, Capo would recommend his style. “The porn market is so flooded with wall-to-wall sex tapes. I wanted something that you could sit and watch like a movie and not feel the need or desire to fast-forward through everything.” Capo described his style as, gritty, in-your-face, guerilla-style porn making.

Capo also said he’s seen reviews that have compared his stuff to early Rob Black. He was inclined to agree but thinks he doesn’t take it to some of the extremes that Black did. Cytherea had some story to tell about having been on an Evolution shoot but seemed very hazy to recall detail or who was on the set that day. Her general take on the subject was that the shoot seemed disorganized. Capo said he’d make it up to her on a future shoot. Wankus noted that Cytherea was something of a squirter. “Your car’s in the lot, right? She’ll wash it for you from here.” According to Wankus, the HBO documentary cameras got drenched when they were in the studios recently. “It was like a freakin’ avalanche of water.”

Asked about his personal turn ons, Capo said anything shooting out of a vagina was okay by him. “Boy cum, girl cum, piss, I don’t care what it is.” Capo also suggested checking out the Teen Meat series authored by Timothy Tyler Thomas whom Capo assists. “We do a lot of that teen petting kind of shit, dry-fucking her through the panties. All the shit that you left behind somewhere in your college drinking days and started going right to the ass. It revisits all that stuff and really kind of pulls in the eroticism again.”

Asked for her reactions to Guy’s desire to pursue a porn career after having had a brush with mainstream, Karen Capo thought she was very understanding. “I know that’s what he wants to do, and I love him for who he is.” And the thought didn’t escape her, either, that he also might want to pursue a porn acting career, which he didn’t. Asked for her parents’ reaction to Capo’s porn career, Karen commented, “I can’t say that they actually had a reaction because they know he does good work and they’re okay with it.” For himself, Capo said his mother is his number one fan, having lost his father at an early age. “She’s supported me entirely.”

The Capos have been known to watch porn together though Wankus observed after being in the business awhile it almost becomes impossible to jerk off to people that you know. Guy said he prefers the print medium but finds the syndrome Wankus described now spilling over. “I don’t want to see cocks I recognize in my print medium because print is still my favorite form of whack material. There’s something about the intimacy with a magazine that I like. It’s on pause if you need it on pause. You can fast-forward when you need to.”

The Capos, who have been together for about 7 years, said their private sex life is pretty intimate and straight forward. Wankus wanted to know if Karen ever asked Guy to bring a hot bitch home. “She’ll call me and tell me to bring a hot pizza home,” said Capo. “But I’m still waiting for the other call.”
