Exxxotica Porn convention moves to Edison after Secaucus sues

New Jersey- The organizers of a pornography convention scheduled this weekend at the Meadowlands Expo Center have relocated their adult’s only affair to Edison after officials in Secaucus filed a lawsuit.

Trade show Exxxotica New York was planned for Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Meadowlands. But Secaucus officials filed a lawsuit Monday, saying the center’s liquor license prevents it from hosting events with nudity.

“I think it’s wonderful,” Secaucus Mayor Dennis Elwell said “I’m not a prude, but I just don’t think this is the kind of event we want in Secaucus.”

Organizers said the convention would go on at the Raritan Center.

“We decided to take an aggressive approach to make sure that this show happened as scheduled for the fans, our vendors and the stars. We have secured a bigger and better location for this weekend’s EXXXOTICA NY show,” said J. Handy, Director of Victory Tradeshow Management, in a statement .

Edison officials were not immediately available for comment.
