New Jersey- Adult film star Ron Jeremy called the Secaucus mayor “stupid and unfair” for trying to derail the Exxxotica trade show this weekend at the Meadowlands Expo Center, according to the Record of Hackensack.

Ron Jeremy, star of such X-rated films as “Coed Teasers” and “Natural Born Thrillers,” took umbrage at efforts to block the Exxxotica conventionIt turns out the squabble is moot, though: The convention organizers are shifting to the New Jersey Convention and Expo Center in Edison.

“Due to an issue with the liquor license at our previous venue, we wouldn’t have been able to present Exxxotica as we planned it,” J. Handy, director of Victory Tradeshow Management, the event’s organizer, said in a statement distributed on PR Newswire last night.

“We decided to take an aggressive approach to make sure that this show happened as scheduled for the fans, our vendors and the stars.”

Secaucus officials said they were unaware of the convention’s theme until a few days ago, and are taking legal steps to block it, the Star-Ledger reports in today’s editions. Their argument: the convention center holds a liquor license, which prohibits nudity of any kind, even if the event itself will not offer alcohol.
