Fleshlight Gets Recognized by Mainstream Women’s Publication Redbook Magazine

Austin, TX – The world’s number one selling male sex toy company, Fleshlight is prominently featured in this month’s edition of Redbook Magazine.

Entitled “The Real Deal About Sex After Kids,” the Redbook Magazine article discusses how to get back in the bed with your mate after having a baby. Redbook journalist Amy Sohn contacted Fleshlight owner and founder Steve Shubin and his wife for their perspective on the topic.

“Sex wasn’t even an option for us. My wife had a high-risk pregnancy, and her obstetrician told us no intercourse for the whole nine months,” says Steve.

So, to get him through, Steve, a former cop, decided to design a toy that would simulate sex. “My wife was supportive,” he recalls. “Her only condition was that I get rid of it when she was able to have sex regularly again.”

This is where the Fleshlight was born. A flashlight device filled with a skin-like material intended to generate sexual gratification using a true likeness of a woman’s private parts. It has since generated $200 million in sales and has sold almost 4 million units.

Redbook is the must-read magazine for today’s young, married woman: an individual as passionate about her own needs as she is about those of her family. Each issue offers exciting, provocative features that address the all aspects of her life—everything from stylish fashion and beauty portfolios to scintillating stories on keeping her marriage fresh, to ideas on balancing home and career demands.
