FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. – from www.abcactionnews.com – Adult film company Girls Gone Wild came Wednesday afternoon to Fort Myers Beach, but left shortly after, following a discussion with the town’s code enforcement staff.
The company films college-aged women taking their tops off and performing various sex acts, and had parked their advertisement-emblazoned bus in a public parking lot that was not an appropriate place for such a vehicle, Town Manager Terry Stewart said. The company also didn’t have a special event permit, Stewart said.
“If they were going to have a special event, they needed a permit,” Stewart said. “We asked them to move on. They were very cordial and complied.”
Girls Gone Wild has been hosted in the past by the North Naples nightclub Ultra on Tamiami Trail, and is scheduled to hold a “Wet T-Shirt Hot Body Contest” tonight and next Wednesday, March 16, according to the nightclub’s website.
“Girls Gone Wild will be at Ultra live filming for their next DVD,” the Ultra website says.
Ladies can get in free to the event and drink for free until 11 p.m., according to the website.
The Girls Gone Wild Facebook page says the company’s bus was also in Estero on Saturday.
Stewart said the actions of code enforcement were not motivated by the x-rated business of Girls Gone Wild.
“I spoke to the code enforcement officers before they went out there,” Stewart said. “I let them handle it from there.”
“They gave us no problems whatsoever,” Stewart said of the company.
