Wilmington, North Carolina- Adult store owner Greg Sakas leaves me a couple of phone messages including one that he may be getting arrested as we speak. The cops were raiding his Wilmington store early this morning after Sakas’ case had already been tossed a couple of weeks ago in the New Bern jurisdiction.
“I’ve got about 12 to 15 cops in there,” said Sakas as he was driving to his Wilmington store. “I don’t know what’s going on. But this isn’t good news for North Carolina. We just got hit a second time after winning one battle. Now we’ve got another one.”
In an update, Sakas said the police had a warrant.
“Apparently the same thing has happened just like in New Bern,” Sakas states. “They came in earlier when we had the court case in New Bern and left. Now this time they’re not leaving. I don’t know if I’m going to be arrested. I don’t know what’s going to happen. If they want to arrest me, what’s the difference? I’m not hiding from them. I’m upset because a thing like this is never going to end in North Carolina.”
